The Hobbycraft information always asks participants to log in ten minutes before the start time. Why this is required and what purpose it serves still isn’t clear or known. The session starts at the set time with no interaction prior to that start time . The session seemed to be at a fairly rapid pace but with the option of doing whatever you wanted from the demonstration information. I had to do the best I could because it wasn’t going to be physically possible to do things at the same pace as the demonstration or the second part where the drawing was being done properly. I had unfortunately to leave a little early too but received an email from Emma with some links which will be useful. A lot of materials to use and some time ahead to consider what to do and how best to continue practicing and developing these ideas in the future. Thanks .

Some good ideas for future projects and a gentle enough pace to watch and consider how to use the supplies given. Need to probably purchase other things to get the best results for the decorations

If I can say it was really very basic. Unfortunately part way through this session we had a couple power cuts so lost my Internet connection. Thanks

Thanks Paula for an informal but informative way to enjoy making this decoration. It was well planned, clear and managed so that everyone was able to keep up , questions were answered and some light heartedness was also possible. The products were good and have several things left over which can be used for another smaller decoration or additional things purchased [ highly possible here anyway! ] to try something similar or totally different depending on what I want to do another day. This workshop was so much better than the previous wreath workshop as the items provided were good and the instructions clearly showed the difference too . Would imagine from teenagers upwards this would be a good start to another skill as long as there is maturity to use the extremely hot gun and either very sharp scissors or wire cutters depending what you have available to use. Now have a lot of calorie free small Easer eggs as haven’t as yet added any to my wreath - and might possibly not do so …. ********they are extremely similar to the chocolate varieties and so be careful if you hang one of these wreaths who is around- a choking hazard for young children…. ********** they would be extremely easy to pull off of the wreath and so this needs consideration before you hang it somewhere in your home. Thanks again Paula and the other people who enjoyed the workshop too. Will think about the next workshop to book over the next few days. The member of staff was welcoming and friendly. Only 1 other person in this session. Unfortunately for myself physically I couldn't do anything and left having explained I have physical limitations meaning fine movements are impossible for me. Thanks but not surprising for me a disappointing experiencein no way does this reflect on the staff member. Thanks for the welcome and understanding as I said cheerio after about 25 minutes. No way defeatist but not realistic for my personal circumstances to stay there longer.

The session was very good well paced and clearly explained. Only enough time for 2 practice pieces and a little demo and discussion about potential ways forward with other techniques that can be incorporated into the process of fluid art. Its not the cleanest way of spending an hour but produces unpredictable and interesting results. Hopefully with practice can produce a good piece for my main canvas which is still in its plastic wrap! If you are considering the session wet wipes, kitchen roll , a large space for 72 hours of wet painting to be flat and undisturbed are essential! Had to phone hobbycraft for a password for zoom as for some peculiar reasons it would not let me in via the link sent.

Thanks Holly for a well planned , steadily paced and very clearly explained hour of watercolour painting. Always plenty of room for improvement here with things but the basics are not hard and no experience is needed to enjoy this workshop.

Absolutely fantastic session! I think so far this session has been my favourite. ( not that the others were bad !) Jenny is very clear and calm in genuinely teaching the group. Hopefully there will be more sessions for people to be able to enjoy this mixed media painting and possibly more levels of the same things with new ideas in the future. Thanks Jenny and also the other lady ( & her soon to be famous dog !) for the great evening.

Excellent tutor friendly welcoming and helpful with the skills and knowledge that you need as a beginner. Its slightly difficult as the picture is a detailed photo and for a total beginner it might be helpful to have some kind of written guide to reference in the future re pencils and equipment plus an easier to see guide of the drawing maybe worth considering too. Hopefully what I have managed to do will be able to be finished In the coming weeks. Thanks again for a great evening.

This workshop was very good. Calm. Well planned and clearly designed for people to learn enjoy and progress with the experience of brush lettering. Hopefully the replacement items will arrive one day and then I might be able to use what I learnt as all the others were able to make their decorations. I sat doing it on plain paper instead of the decorations I have paid for. Damaged items sent out with dirty markings all over them. Hopefully it will be sorted as promised. Thanks again to the lady running this today. Hopefully the standard will be seen in other things too as definitely the best one so far! Thanks. Would have said great if I could have done the actual thing I had paid to do!
