Recent reviews of Sculpt and Sip Class

  • 5/5 from Nicola Lenton-Bradley, attended Oct 2026: We were given a warm welcome with lots of encouragement and tips throughout. Demonstrations were provided to the whole group upon introduction followed by one-to-one tips specific to the piece’s we are we’re working on. The class allowed the opportunity to socialise and have a laugh (like myself) and / or the chance to switch off a focus on your sculpture / design (like my friend). Either way we both left the class having had fun and feeling relaxed, with the addition of our hand sculpted art (or in my case attempt at) to take with us. Great fun, relaxing atmosphere and well worth the money. With a generous amount of material to feel you can be truly creative, whether it’s making one large piece or multiple miniature items. Will defo sign up for another class soon! Highly recommended you do to!

  • 5/5 from Sarah Fairbairn, attended May 2026: Brilliant class! Was gifted to us by a friend and was a wonderful way to spend a couple of hours. We got to make as many little items as we wanted (and we came away with quite a few (some bad, some not as bad!)). Great advice/lesson from our teacher, Iris, she was so helpful and very knowledgeable - would highly recommend this class.

  • 5/5 from Tracy Goodfellow, attended Mar 2026: Had a great time, teacher really good at explaining what to do but also I enjoyed just being artistic!!!!
  • 5/5 from Lucy Hankinson, attended Feb 2026: Really enjoyed the class. We made a bowl first to learn the technique (wish we’d been told it was just for practice before starting) then got free rein. Just enough time. Better to have some ideas before you go.

  • 5/5 from Bobby Murphy, attended Jan 2026: The teacher was great and very informative! We had such a laugh and would highly recommend!
  • 4/5 from Matthew Iveson, attended Jan 2026: Lots of fun, with great teachers and a nice atmosphere. Lots of clay and tools to let you make anything you want. The venue was a little cramped, and would be better with fewer people per table. It meant that we were trapped in and couldn't easily get up to get drinks etc. We were busy crafting, so not a big deal for us, but it might put others off.
  • 4/5 from Suresh, attended Jan 2026: Great fun. Lovely teacher and attracts interesting clients. Watch the sip bit as drinks are extra. Lovely way to spend an evening.
  • 2/5 from James Deakin, attended Jan 2026: Hi there, we went to the clay sculpting class in Edinburgh on 31.01 at the Southern. The facilitators were great, I really appreciated their enthusiasm and knowledge. They did a great job during the class. However, the space set aside for us at the venue was really awful and made me feel a bit ill. There were way too many people in too small a space. There were 6-7 people crowded around a four person table. There were just two of us so we had to touch elbows with people we didn’t know. It was hard to move my arms without getting in a stranger’s space. It was hot and way too loud. I was really stressed out at the end of the course. I would strongly recommend cutting down the amount of participants by half.
  • 5/5 from Nicola J Stewart, attended Dec 2025: The class was really laid back but the teacher was so knowledgeable. I was playing with the clay and experimenting and there were other people there making really good sculptures. I made some Christmas baubles, a 2D robin and a 3D cat. I would love to go again.
  • 5/5 from Bronte, attended Dec 2025: Great teacher, super helpful and gave great advice!
  • 4/5 from Emma Garrell, attended Dec 2025: Really good fun! You were able to make pretty much whatever you wanted / multiple things to take home and paint when they are dry. Teacher went through a few basic techniques but really quickly which was hard to follow at the start but they came round to help and give advice to each table after which was great.
  • 5/5 from Sean Greenhorn, attended Nov 2025: Great class!
  • 4/5 from Eliza Akhter, attended Nov 2025: The class was lovely, teacher was very nice and friendly! The only issue was that there were too many people so it was too congested to sit comfortably.
  • 5/5 from Sheila Beare, attended Oct 2025: Iris was fantastic in guiding us through our Sculpt and Sip evening. Most enjoyable. Helpful tips, and nice individual engagement as well as group…and to be able to do it with a drink too!! Great night and great birthday present to get!
  • 5/5 from Sarah Fisher, attended Oct 2025: Such a wholesome day out with my Mum, absolutely loved it!
  • 5/5 from Adam Webster, attended Oct 2025: Great class, teacher was very friendly and helpful. Overall very laid back feeling with nice atmosphere.
  • 4/5 from Honey Hughes, attended Oct 2025: It was really fun, but perhaps too much money for what you get.
  • 5/5 from Lesley Robertson, attended Sep 2025: What a fab way to start an afternoon out. The workshop with Iris was great fun and she managed to help us all produce something that we were able take home. I would definitely recommend this class.
