What you'll do
In this jewellery-making class, you'll join a talented jeweller from East Nook Studio as you craft either a stunning silver pendant or a pair of beautiful earrings.
No need to worry about making a choice in advance! You'll have the opportunity to select your preferred option on the night, right after a fascinating demo.
Join us for an immersive experience where you'll learn the art of sawing, soldering, forming, and adding texture to silver. With these skills, you'll be able to design and bring to life your very own handmade jewellery.
Transform silver into your jewellery creations to be connected to a chain, silver hook or stud fastening, completing your wearable pieces.
Discover the art of jewellery making as an individual or with a group of friends as a fun group activity. Learn, socialise and create stunning pieces of jewellery to take home as cherished mementoes!
Please note:
- This class will need 4 people to run. If the class is under-subscribed, the studio reserves the right to reschedule. You will be notified at least 4 days before the class if the class cannot run, and will have the option to be refunded in this instance.
- Access to East Nook Studio in the Maltbarn is by a cobbled path on the main street leading to an open courtyard with double doors leading to the studios. Unfortunately, we are situated on the first floor and do not have disabled access.
Private parties:
At the moment, if you have a group of 4+ people we can offer you a private workshop at no extra cost per person on a date that suits you, where available. East Nook Studio is an inviting space with a friendly atmosphere and plenty of room to stretch out. There are bars and a cafe downstairs for those who wish to make an evening of it!

Alana has been teaching jewellery making across Scotland for the last 9 years, settling into her beautiful studio in an old Malt barn in the Centre of town 5 years ago.
Offering classes from making a simple ring to pendants, earrings, bangles and gemstone stacking rings, we have something for everyone wishing to turn their hand to jewellery making for the day!
The studio is situated by the historic Westport entrance to the town next to the independent bars and cafes and just a short walk to our 3 beaches, golf courses and shops.
