What you'll do
Explore the art of linocut printing in our engaging Linocut Bookmark Workshop! This hands-on session will guide you through the process of creating your own custom bookmarks using linoleum blocks. From learning how to use the carving tools to bringing your designs to life through printing, our expert instructors will be with you every step of the way.Start by sketching your ideas onto paper, giving you the chance to visualise your designs before transferring them onto the linoleum block. With expert guidance, you'll learn carving techniques to add depth and detail to your designs.Once your carving is complete, it's time to bring your designs to life through printing. Apply ink to your linoleum block and carefully print your designs onto high-quality paper. While standard paper will be provided, you'll also have the option to explore other paper choices for added customisation.By the end of the workshop, you'll have created two distinct designs, each printed once, so you will get 2 final results. Please note, the drying process takes 2-3 hours, so you'll need to return later to collect your finished pieces.Join us for a creative journey filled with exploration and expression as we dive into the world of linocut printing!
