Linocut and Clay Workshop

Explore your creativity by combining two fun techniques! Build your own clay object - this could be anything such as a coaster, tile, pot or trinket dish - and decorate it by carving your own linocut stamps. Linocut is a fantastic technique as an introduction to printmaking and for creating bold and interesting images, lending itself perfectly to pressing into clay.This workshop is a great way to spend a few hours, creating something fun to take home using really accessible techniques and materials.These workshops are open to complete beginners as well as those who have some experience at this hands-on linocut workshop in Manchester.Unwind, take a deep dive into your creativity and follow your intuition. In this hands-on workshop, you will be shown how to build your clay objects and carve your stamps from lino using traditional printmaking techniques. Your passionate teacher Rachel will guide you through every step of the way and will demonstrate each step of the process.By the end of the class, you'll have your completed linocut tarot design along with the skills and knowledge to continue printmaking at home!Disability access: There is a lift to the left of the steps coming up from Great Bridgewater Street that can bring you up one floor; the venue is then to your left.
