Join artist David Harvey for a Zoom watercolour workshop that will introduce you to handy techniques and useful tips. Unwind with the brush and paints and create your own beautiful artwork.
*All the amazing images you see here were created by class attendees*
Whether you've always wanted to learn the ways of painting with watercolours or you're just looking for some rainy day activities to fill your life with colour, this virtual experience is perfect for you. Meet fellow art lovers like you online and enjoy a relaxing art form.
During this online watercolour class, you can take notes or paint along, the choice is yours. A recording will go out after the class so you can look back again and again.
The class will start with a welcome chat and introduction to a particular technique that will feature in that workshop's painting. We'll then move on to the main lesson where we will recreate a subject based on a reference picture.
When you've had a go send in a copy for the online members gallery, we always start the morning with a reflection of the previous
weeks subject, NOT a critical but a chat and thoughts Q&A and encouragement
for going forward.
Also if you need a little hour fast-track one to one zoom session for a small
charge (£15.50) - just shout we'll go through specific how-to techniques etc.
David puts on classes every Tuesday and is looking forward to painting with you!

What to bring
You you can follow along David using the Watercolour equipment you have in your collection, but most attendees sit back and relax with a cuppa tea/coffee - interact, ask questions take notes - then over the following few days/week have a go at home - using the Video created on the day as a reference.

A Somerset lad, but most of my life in Christchurch, Dorset. always had a passion for painting and drawing although no formal training, trained as a printer as his career when leaving school - as such went to severel art colleges for City and Guilds training so always in contact with Arty stuff. My artistic interest continued during the years as a printer and later retrained with a BSc (Hons) in Computing.
Originally inspired and encoraged by local artists Alan & John Hayden, Derek Herdson and Christopher Hollick my work reflects this, containing many paintings of Mudeford Quay, Christchurch Harbour and the surrounding landscape. Although the subject matter did and still does overlap the execution is totally different.
I like to say traditional paintings with a contemporaty twist.
