About the chef:
Rujira Herd (Ru) is executive chef and course director at the Krua Thai Cookery School in Edinburgh, with more than 20 years' teaching experience, working with both high calibre chefs and amateurs from around the world. Her school has worked with top-flight clients such as the world-renowned celebrity chef Albert Roux and Hilton's International Board of executives.

This was a gift from my son and we did the class together. We both thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and the teacher was helpful and we learnt a lot. There was plenty of variety of veg and fruit during the carving. We found it relaxing and the time flew by.
I had an amazing day at Krua Thai Cookery School experimenting with different flavours in the dishes and getting to taste, taste, taste! Chef was very helpful and enthusiastic throughout the day, I learnt a lot and would not hesitate to go back and do it again.
Great teacher with a lovley venue and learned a lot of techniques which I will now be able to use for my family. It was a really good experience and the food was delicious.
What a wonderful afternoon. Ru is really engaging, informative and full of knowledge. The dishes we cooked were both delicious and achievable for us novices, and we felt confident trying them ourselves in future.
The venue is ideal, good for demonstration and collaborative working, and the presence of seating at the working area was really appreciated. The dining area was nice, and Ru spent a lot of time with us later chatting and sharing her wide experiences. We would both highly recommend this to anyone interested in Thai cooking.
Ru of Krua Thai Cookery School was very friendly and experienced in all aspects of Thai cuisine. Her home is the venue and her kitchen is spotless and professionally run.
All ingredients are supplied and explanations given as to provenance, spicyness etc. The Pad Thai we made was delicious and enough was made for a portion to try there and also to take home - result!
