The space is also great and there were so many material and plant options to put in our terrariums. Can’t recommend it enough! :)

Chelsea was calm and easygoing, informative and the perfect energy for a relaxing day out. There were lots of options for personalising, and the materials and plants provided felt high quality. Huge selection of fun teas to pick from, and snacks also provided were a really nice warm and welcoming touch. Thanks so much for a lovely experience

She offered us a lovely selection of drinks and tasty snacks. Our only critic would be the lack of plant diversity. It didn't bother us too much either way. Thank you very much for our (late) Valentines Day Date. I would definitely book another experience at Dawn Studio.

• 3/5 from Woolf Janet, attended Mar 2026: I attended the terrarium workshop in Manchester and although I had a good experience, in comparison to the London terrarium workshop the ingredients were sadly lacking. Soil plants and other items were limited and what would have helped would have been different tools (small scoops or small plungers to help insert the plants). Again a big difference having checked out the London class. The teacher was very pleasant and helpful but presentation could be improved on with a bigger selection of plants.

The teacher made it easy for me to relax into the activity although I came alone and was feeling anxious. There were a range of delicious snacks which was an unexpected surprise. I would recommend this workshop to all.

There was a small class size so we got excellent tuition, loads of nice teas to drink and really lovely teachers. We couldn’t help but buy workshop gift cards for all of our friends. We ended up with incredible terrariums and are so happy we went. I would highly recommend this.

She very methodically talked us through building our terrariums and was happy to answer all our questions. This was a present from son who joined me for the class. I would highly recommend it. We had a lovely day. The reason I've given 4 stars not 5 is just that I personally would have liked to have seen a few different examples to take inspiration from. I thought there might have been a few made up already. A great experience though. I'd highly recommend giving it a go.

Chelsie, our teacher took us through each stage of our build, explaining why we were doing it and how we could achieve the best results. The session was interesting, informative and fun - a great blend and we were not rushed at any stage. Both yummy refreshments and fab plants on offer to choose from! Would definitely recomend if you enjoy plants and being creative; a great way to forget everything else that might be going on, and just enjoy bringing your green vision to life! Thanks again Chelsie! From an accessibility perspective, the venue is great - close parking, very near escalator and well lit spacious workshop space. Just need to leave the shop and walk a short distance to accessible toilet in cinema opposite.

I was delighted with my end result and it now sits proudly on the end of my desk. Looking forward to using my new found skills and knowledge and creating my next Terrarium.

It was a really wholesome activity and I high recommend it! You get to take away a large terrarium and you’re given snacks and a couple of drinks throughout. 10/10

• 5/5 from Pranjali Nagpal, attended Mar 2025: we had a really good time in this class, the teacher was very kind and helpful and did a great job even though she mentioned it was her first time running the class! the only thing that would have been better was if there was a bit more choice for the terrarium containers - in a class of 11 of us, there were only 4 large ones and the other people had to make a medium and a small terrarium to make up for it. overall it was really fun and i have already recommended it to others :)

We were given a choice of terrarium, and plants and mosses, compost and drainage layers to create our own terrarium. Really great workshop with a beautiful terrarium to take home!
