Whether you want to enjoy crafting from the comfort of your own home or you’re looking to meet new people as you get making, these craft workshops offer something for everyone.

Most of our workshops are led by colleagues from Hobbycraft stores across the UK, including craft experts from our Hobbycraft Artisan programme. They use their expertise in specific areas of craft to create workshops that show participants new skills and inspire future projects.

My little Girl enjoyed the workshop. She’s really into crafting especially with clay at the moment.

I did a crochet basics course at the Bridgemere Hobbycraft. I was provided with two balls of wool, a crochet hook, and an instruction sheet and a cotton bag to take them home in. I came away from the class which was only one and a half hours long, having practised a few different stitches. I now have the confidence that with ongoing practice by myself I will become competent in these stitches. I have previously tried yto teach myself to crochet by watching online videos and also from a book, but to no avail. I think the class was good value for money and I will definitely try the Granny squares class when I am confident with what I learnt the on this course. I would also consider doing other classes both instore and online after trying out this one. Thanks to Fiona the tutor, she was really helpful.

Excellent materials and guidance for Easter bonnet making. The glue guns were a little difficult and a bit unsuitable for young children as they could be hot to the touch. Overall a really enjoyable experience which our granddaughters enjoyed. Thank you

I would highly recommend this crafting activity! My children really enjoyed it and it’s such good value for money! The children got to make/ decorate 3 decorations. Only negative is that they should make the class slightly longer as it’s not enough time. The teacher was great and so patient! I will definitely book on to more of these activities with Hobbycraft next year.

Bridgemere was a great venue as well as you are in a separate room without any distractions. The whole family loved this craft.

The teacher was helpful and patient and gave great ideas for our pumpkins. The workshop space was quiet and away from the main shop. The pumpkins were a good size and we had plenty of materials to choose from so our imagination ans creativity could run wild! My daughter loved the activity and learnt a skill she can use again. A definite must for any child at Halloween ⭐️
I took my 2 daughters and 2 nieces to Hobby Craft in Bridgemere and they all absolutely loved it. Faye was a wonderful teacher being really enthusiastic and encouraging. She pitched it perfectly for each child whose ages ranged from 5-10, showing them lots of ways to make each character personal to them. We got plenty of clay and got to keep what we didn’t use during the session. I Would definitely recommend this activity and Faye deserves a medal for keeping the little ones entertained for the entire session 5 ⭐️.

Dee was fabulous, she was knowledgeable about the different sewing machine and set me up on the sewing machine of my choice. We went over everything, different features of the machine, threading the bobbing and needle. I had a go at basic sewing in straight lines, circles and a square, I felt confident and ready to use a sewing machine when i left. Dee also gave me lots of tips, which will be very important as i take my sewing further, I will definitely go back to Dee to talk about putting zips in, buttons and Dee was happy to say see you again soon. absolutely brilliant hour well worth the money with a fabulous lady.

Thursday 24 8 2023 at Bridgemere Hobby craft.
I booked this class as I have recently purchased the Hobby craft 19s sewing machine. I wanted to get a better understanding to thread a bobbin and thread the machine. Also, I wanted to alter curtains that I have purchased. Dee the instructor patient explained the machine, stiches and thread. I now feel confident in using the machine. Thank you Dee

Nice workshop and friendly, enthusiastic man running it who made it fun for the kids but unfortunately the materials let it down a bit. The masking effect didn’t really work as the watery paint got under the tape and it needed thicker paint really for the technique to work. Bit of a shame really x

Dee was my tutor and was great took time to find out about what I knew and needed so she could concentrate my lesson on what I needed gave lots of hint and tips increasing my confidence and knowledge of machine . We were away from the main shop area so no distractions… I would recommend to anyone interested as a beginner or someone who want to increase their sewing machine skills.

I took my daughters and their friend aged 8-10 to a canvas painting session. Session teacher was nice and friendly. The girls enjoyed the session, they enjoyed mixing a painting. I did feel there could have been more choice of colours available to use. If there were paints an aisle for choice rather than pre selected on a tray. No light colours white/pinks to use.

This was a gift for my mother in law, she hadn't sewed in a while and had just been given a new machine so the aim was for her get to know her machine, she found it very helpful and picked up some great tips. One of her concerns was threading the machine due to poorly eyetest but she got to try a couple of machine threaders before buying one which is so helpful for her!

We had such a great time! Dawn, our teacher, was super with all of the children. She happily showed them what to do, encouraged them and helped where and when required.
Great value for money as the mache pumpkins were a good size.
And special thanks to Tom, the manager, for accommodating us when we couldn’t make our original booked date; not only was he lovely, he bent over backwards so that we could still come.
As a location, Bridgemere was excellent, especially as we were able to take the children for hot chocolate and cake in the cafe afterwards :-)

Hayley offered a great class, she encouraged all the children and offered equal and great levels of praise to each and every child. Venue was a little drive from us, we went to the bridgemere location. My 2 daughters aged 9 and 7 love the interactive sessions, we did the decoupage session. Excellent use of materials and Hayley the teacher was amazing. Great with the kids and my girls really enjoyed it. She was enthusiastic and the girls loved to hear her stories of the crafts she has made. We even went around the shop after and saw Hayley’s amazing sunflower/bee and flamingo. Will definitely book on for another one.

I took my 3 children to the sea creature clay craft session. They all absolutely loved it. The session was ran by a lovely lady. She seemed really kind and patient. It was a really relaxed atmosphere. My children want me to book another session for them. So thumbs up from them!

This was a great class. I really like the box of crafts which was packaged well and contained good quality materials that I can use again. The store was clean and tidy with all staff very friendly and helpful. The class was held at the back of the store in a semi closed off area which worked out well. I would happily book another class at this store.

My Instructor Dee was such a lovely lady nothing was too difficult for her she taught me so much materials were provided she went through the set up of mewing machine, trouble shooting showed me how to do and I followed she explained so much. I'll deff be haveing more in the future value for money, lovely area to learn

The instructor was really very good with my granddaughter. Because of booking my granddaughter had a one to one lesson. The room was ok, but a bit cluttered with reduced items. Will certainly book other sessions.

The teacher was great, kind, encouraging , my daughter learnt how to paint a canvas and new techniques. The materials were good quality and plenty of them, we even bought some of the brushes she used. The class was good value for money in my opinion, my daughter thoroughly enjoyed it!

My children really enjoyed this workshop. The teacher was fantastic making them both feel welcome and helping them both throughout the workshop. Hayley (teacher) had made up examples ready which my youngest daughter found really useful to copy and my older daughter enjoyed creating new ideas and discussing these with Hayley. There was lots to do and fill the whole hour and the location away from the shop floor was nice and quiet. My girls had 5 puppets to complete and take home. Superb value for money!

Customer service however were not so organised with change of time and communication, might be best if they spoke with tutors before liaising with customer.

First of all, Hayley, our teacher, was brilliant-very friendly and helpful! She had a great understanding of the craft and talked to us about her own learning which was very reassuring as I was not a natural. The environment was great as it was tucked away at the back of the store so we could focus whilst also being a nice light/warm space to sit for an hour.
The workshop box was good value for money and contained great quality items to work with and the practice sheets were very useful! It was good to have the option to practice and then finish up at home if needed.
The craft itself was well thought out and we were pleased to here the styles had come from an in-house designer. It was also great to see some examples that Hayley had done to get some ideas.
Thank you for an excellent and safe afternoon activity that was fun and accessible!

Tom was the class leader & he was great. There was a great choice of materials to choose from. Tom was very encouraging to those of the class who were unsure of what they were doing, also to those of us who have done craft before. We will definitely recommend & return again.

Really great , Helen the instructor was lovey and very clear on what to do. The only thing missing was different paint colours would be nice, if the paint wasn’t included in the kit just some more colours would’ve been nice. Great session though

Despite some difficulty opening things with some dodgy scissors, the materials provided were suitable for the project. I also enjoyed having our own glue guns to take home so we could do more baubles, so I think it was good value for money.

Teacher was first class. Very pleasant and described the Cricut machine very well. She showed me how machine worked with different materials.
I do card making but this machine could be so handy for other projects as well. The value was great, in a room on our own and warm.
I had no idea what this machine would do but I gained confidence through Hayley putting me at ease. Very good teacher

This was a very good one to one workshop which I really enjoyed. The instructor showed me how to use my Cricut Maker and explained everything in an easy to understand way. He was very knowledgeable on the machine and answered all the questions I asked. I would recommend this workshop to anyone who is unsure how to use their new Cricut machine.

Hayley, our teacher, was fantastic. She was very welcoming, patient with the children and explained things carefully. She had a great knowledge too.
The quality of the materials we received was excellent and my little boy was happy with the results. He did find some aspects of the workshop very tricky so perhaps an age of 5 upwards would be more suitable.

My 10 year old grandaughter really enjoyed this workshop. Hayley was an excellent instructor, very friendly and gave lots of tips on how to paint with acrylics. The pack included everything needed to paint a floral scene and my grandaughter was really pleased with the picture she took away to complete at home.

A lovely welcome from the Tutor, made my daughter (14) feel at ease, and as I couldn’t book myself in on the same time workshop Tom allowed me to join in.
Functional room used for the session with everything at hand.
The incredibly knowledgeable Tom took us through every element of getting started with the new Birthday present Cricut Explore Air 2 and beyond.
The 1-2 session with the extremely competent Tom has left us both confident in our knowledge of the amazing Air 2 and can’t wait to get using it to its full potential.
Recommendations from Tom were very valuable and we made purchases after the session in the store to help us with our projects going forward.
We would both fully recommend these workshops for Cricut enthusiasts of any age and level, to either start your Cricut journey or embellish your abilities further, they are such good value for money for the level of training.
