  • 3/5 from Nicola Deas, attended Nov 2025: For a complete beginner it was a little confusing. An explanation of the basic stitches at the start would be helpful to know what we’d be doing. It was ok as a start. The book I got will be more help I think.
  • 5/5 from Laura Edge, attended Oct 2025: The workshop was great, the lady running the class was very friendly and informative. I liked that I got to go and choose my own colours of yarn.

  • 5/5 from Tricia Boffey, attended Mar 2025: Really good beginners class, I wanted to learn a new skill and crochet caught my eye; highly recommend to anyone. All supplies were given and you even chose your own coloured wool! It’s the little things…
  • 5/5 from Raymond Rigby, attended Jan 2025: I had a very enjoyable crochet lesson with Fiona. She explained and demonstrated everything in a very clear and relaxed way. I was amazed how much I learnt in the time and came away feeling excited that I could, with practice, be able to crochet well. When I got home, I spent time practicing and really pleased with how much I’d remembered. Thank you Fiona
  • 5/5 from Sarah Plant, attended Jan 2025: My mum and I attended a private crochet workshop. It was great; the teacher put us at ease and managed to teach us lots of different crochet stitches in the time. She was very patient and took the time to make sure we were both happy and enjoying ourselves too! The quality of the wool provided is lovely. Hopefully we can keep practising and develop our skill even further!
  • 5/5 from Fiona Jane Donegan, attended Jan 2025: Fiona was brilliant! Explaining in really easy terms each step. I have tried for years and never been able to. Within 5 minutes we were off and running. Fiona broke it down into 1 loop to join, then one loop for stitch and repeat... Voila. I'm doing it! At home now making a scarf with 2 free huge balls of lovely wool thick wool and hook. Doubles and trebles no problem! :-)
  • 5/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Nov 2024: The teacher was very knowledgeable and very patient with us. The teacher spent time going round us individually and showing us the stitches. Do feel like I came away at least knowing the basics and that I feel confident that I can practice them in my own

  • 5/5 from Mrs Katy Harvey, attended Aug 2024: Great class to learn the basics and guidance on each step. The teacher was brill, she was very patient and thorough. We were given a bag and extras that we weren’t expecting which was a nice touch. Would 100% recommend. Thank you.
  • 5/5 from Sarah C Deans, attended Aug 2024: Friendly teacher. Divided her time fairly between all participants. She had an enthusiastic “can do” approach. Materials provided added to the good value for money. Excellent for absolute beginners.
  • 5/5 from Clare Millington, attended Mar 2024: I did a crochet basics course at the Bridgemere Hobbycraft. I was provided with two balls of wool, a crochet hook, and an instruction sheet and a cotton bag to take them home in. I came away from the class which was only one and a half hours long, having practised a few different stitches. I now have the confidence that with ongoing practice by myself I will become competent in these stitches. I have previously tried yto teach myself to crochet by watching online videos and also from a book, but to no avail. I think the class was good value for money and I will definitely try the Granny squares class when I am confident with what I learnt the on this course. I would also consider doing other classes both instore and online after trying out this one. Thanks to Fiona the tutor, she was really helpful.
  • 5/5 from Jennie Cupial-Preston, attended Jan 2024: This class was just perfect for me as a beginner. Fiona was a smashing tutor. Very clear and supportive. She gave us some excellent tips and hints too and helped us with what to buy to start us off. Really enjoyed it. Thank you.

  • 5/5 from Pauline Savage, attended Feb 2023: The teacher was friendly and knowledgable. The class was small enough to have yndivifindividual attention. The equipment provided was appropriate and there was enough time to Lear. Three stitches. A small point - it would have been nice to have yarn in more attractive colours rather than mustard and dark grey.
  • 5/5 from Sandra Poole, attended Jan 2023: The teacher was very friendly, supportive and easily understood. We learnt quite a lot in a short time. Plenty to practice with. Not too sure regarding the materials. Large box for two balls of wool and a hook plus instructions, exquisitely wrapped in pink tissue but questionable substance
