What you'll do

If you've ever been fascinated by glassmaking but weren't sure where to begin, this bite-sized taster session is the ideal introduction to this exciting craft.

Hosted by Matt, an experienced local crafter, you'll spend an hour and a half in the picturesque town of Tiverton learning the basics of working with glass as you create a handful of beautifully colourful glass beads. During the class, you'll learn:

Types of equipment & tools used in making glass beads
How to make basic lamp work beads
Different techniques to decorate and style your beads

All the beads you make will then go into the kiln and be annealed overnight.

Whether you're local to the area or are just visiting, this class is a brilliant opportunity to bring a few friends or family members, learn something new and make some wonderful memories together.

Please note: For a small additional cost to cover the materials, Matt can make your beads into any earrings or jewellery if you would like. You can discuss this with Matt on the day.

What you'll get

All the tools and materials to make a set of 3-5 lampwork glass beads. These will be annealed in the kiln overnight and ready for collection at a later date.
