Gemstone Stacking Ring Making Workshop

Unleash your creativity in the heart of St Andrews at East Nook Studio. Join this captivating jewellery-making workshop where you'll learn to saw, solder, form, and texture your own silver stacking rings. You'll also be adding a touch of glamour with a gemstone setting to one of your rings!Kick off your adventure into the world of ring making with some insightful demonstrations from your talented teacher. You'll be introduced to the materials, tools, and even a handheld blowtorch that you'll get to wield yourself.Next, you'll be guided through the process of sizing your fingers, calculating the wire needed, and carefully shaping the rings. Once soldered and cleaned, we'll transform them into perfect circular forms, adorning them with your preferred hammered texture.Then comes the gemstones! You'll solder a pre-made bezel onto your chosen ring. Choose a stunning stone from our collection of cabochons, and for an additional cost, upgrade to an even more mesmerising gem if available.As the rings take shape and receive their final polish, your skinny silver stacking rings will then be ready to wear home that evening.The workshop runs for approximately five hours, including a lunch break. Nearby the studio are plenty of bars and restaurants. So come make a day of it and enjoy this unforgettable experience with your pals! Please note:

• This class will need 4 people to run. If the class is under-subscribed, the studio reserves the right to reschedule. You will be notified at least 4 days before the class if the class cannot run, and will have the option to be refunded in this instance.
• Access to East Nook Studio in the Maltbarn is by a cobbled path on the main street leading to an open courtyard with double doors leading to the studios. Unfortunately, we are situated on the first floor and do not have disabled access.

Private parties: At the moment, if you have a group of 4+ people we can offer you a private workshop at no extra cost per person on a date that suits you, where available. East Nook Studio is an inviting space with a friendly atmosphere and plenty of room to stretch out. There are bars and a cafe downstairs for those who wish to make an evening of it!
