I'm Chelsie, a macrame maestro and all-round craft queen based in Manchester!
I found macrame during the pandemic when I needed something to calm my mind. I found so much mindfulness within the craft, and have since opened a creative studio where people come together to learn macrame and other crafts as a form of self care.
I'm passionate about sharing different ways to be creative; I don't believe that you have to be great (or even good!) at a craft to find joy and peace in it. The first step to being good at something is being bad at it!

I had a heart shaped trinket class, unfortunately was late due to transport and the teacher was soo lovely she accommodated us like we came on time.
The class was exceptional me and my sister had really fun, the environment was so light, the instructions provided were easy and well explained.
There were snacks as well, to have.
100% recommended, even if you are going alone, everyone is really friendly included the fantastic teacher and her assistant.

I had such a great time at the macrame workshop. I would definitely recommend giving this a go. Sammy was such a lovely teacher and there was no rushing to get to a certain stage. Each time I've been to Studio Dawn I've really loved it and I can't wait to go again.

I attended the Eco Resin workshop with a group of friends. Chelsie was an amazing host and was so friendly and helpful. There was a great range of snacks/drinks provided and Chelsie was so clear in her instructions and demonstration. We weren't rushed at all to try and get everything finished, and the resin is so quick drying that we could take everything home with us straight away. We were also provided with candles and a mirror to complete the items we created, which was an unexpected bonus! The class was great value for money and it was a fab afternoon. I would highly recommend Chelsie's workshops and will definitely be booking another one soon!

My friends and I attend the resin workshop where we made a trinket tray, candlestick holders and a mirror stand. The class was so much fun, we thoroughly enjoyed it! Chelsie was a great teacher, she explained the process so well and helped whenever anyone was stuck or needed inspiration. It was such a relaxed setting and the group size was good (about ten people). We also loved the snacks and drinks provided, such a bonus! The class was such good value and I’m sure we’ll be booing another soon! I’d recommend to anyone!

Chelsea and the staff were lovely and made everyone feel welcome. We all produced tons of lovely stuff to bring home and really enjoyed doing it! They also provided plenty of drinks and snacks and we met lots of lovely people. We will definitely be back for more!

My daughter and I went to this class to try something new. We were made to feel really welcome from the very beginning and the atmosphere was fun and friendly throughout.
We loved making our coasters and seeing how everyone’s turned out. Chelsie and Sammy were the perfect hosts.
Looking forward to going again to try something else. I recommend this as a great activity with family or friends and this would make the perfect gift!

Me and my mum booked this as it was something neither of us had done before. We had an amazing time at this class. Lovely people, a friendly, relaxed atmosphere and Chelsie and Sammy were both really helpful and attentive. We left with coasters we were really proud of.
We’ll definitely be back and would recommend for anyone looking for a fun activity or gift.

This was our third workshop with Chelsie, very pleased with our coasters and we had a fab time as usual Chelsie is a great teacher, providing a warm and welcoming environment and talking you through the class step by step. I highly recommend any of the resin workshops as you always end up with something lovely to take home. We also met Sammy at this class and she is a great addition to the team, so wonderful to see the Studio Dawn team growing :)

Brilliant evening. I booked the plant pot making workshop for my mum's birthday and we had a great time! Chelsie was a great host and teacher and both of us were really pleased with our efforts. It was really relaxed and lots of lovely drinks and snacks provided. Very highly recommended! Thank you!

Had the most amazing time at Chelsie’s class. The vibes were immaculate and she’s such a nice energy to be around.
I was worried I wouldn’t get into the class because I’m not typically a very crafty person but I was so wrong! I could have stayed here all night. I’d recommend this class to any and everyone. It’s so relaxing and really felt like I got a couple hours to just relax and enjoy myself trying something new.

Chelsie is such a wonderful teacher. Very personable and kind and knows her stuff. The chat was always flowing but never felt intrusive or too much.
I booked a private workshop for myself and my mum as a Christmas present to make Macrame wall hanging hearts. Neither of us had ever done Macrame before and Chelsie explained what we had to do very simply and patiently answered all of our questions and helped us throughout when we had any crisis of confidence in following the pattern.
All the materials were provided and were of an excellent quality and easy to work with which meant that by the end of the workshop we both had a beautiful macrame piece we could proudly hang in any room of our house. Chelsie had also laid on loads of snacks that we could help ourselves to which was very thoughtful of her.
I loved the chilled out feeling of the workshop and the positive encouragement that Chelsie gives which felt so genuine. I also love the fact we were able to walk away with a finished piece at the end of the session.
My only complaint , and it is but small, was that it was an extremely cold day the day of the workshop, and due to the location of the Dawn Studio in relation to the doors of the Lowry Mall, it was a little chilly in the studio. However, Chelsie endeavoured to keep us warm with an electric fan heater nearby and as many hot brews as we wanted. I think I was only bothered by the coolness of the studio within the last 15-20 minutes when I decided I didn’t want to have any more hot drinks for worry of getting home on public transport without needing to stop for a loo trip. I had travelled there in a massive padded coat too so didn’t want to put that on whilst I was trying to craft. I think in future I’d just take an extra cardigan or jumper if I knew I was going to be crafting on a cold day.
An excellent experience that I would highly recommend and I will definitely be returning to try out some other workshops.

Received this experience as a gift and wasn’t sure what to expect but it was great! Something really different, and very good value. We were provided with lots of drinks and snacks while we had a very clear demonstration of what we were making, and were able to take home two pots and a plant each. Highly recommended.

Lovely Sunday afternoon making plant pots with Chelsie. The set up was great with an incredible array of drinks and snacks. Pace was just right and we were able to be creative but also guided when needed. Loved our final pieces and three bonus of a plant to take home as well. Highly recommended!

We had a crafty night. I was given a vegan treat and there were treats for others too. Chelsie was clear with instructions but also kind with support when we had questions. We will definitely be back for another session in the future.

What a lovely experience! A few hours to completely relax and shut off from the world outside. Made some lovely candle holders, trinket trays, and mirror stands which have made beautiful additions to our home and reminds me and my fiancée of what we did for our 8 year anniversary. It was lovely that we got Prosecco and snacks too!

Great workshop. It was so much fun and such an enjoyable experience. Chelsie explains how to do each step with excellent detail to ensure the end finish product looks amazing. There was a small group of us and it is a great way to speak to others. The workshop is based within her shop which gave us the opportunity to look at what is in stock and look for inspiration as gifts. Other upcoming workshops that she does throughout the year to organise another afternoon of mindful chilled event.

What an absolutely fabulous class. Chelsie explained things clearly, provided all the materials, layed on snacks, drinks & covering all dietary requirements. The venue as smashing, very clean, warm, welcoming & tidy. The whole experience was a real treat. The cost of the course was also very reasonable. Even after you finished Chelsie provided tissue paper & bags to carry home your finished product. What an lovely afternoon, I wouldn't hesitate to join another class of interest, & I highly recommend the eco resin class.

What a lovely morning! My best friend and I loved spending some relaxed quality time together making some lovely plant pots. Chelsie was (as always!) a fabulous host and explained everything so well and encouraged us to be as creative as we could. Would highly reccomend this class, was great for mixed ability / no ability. Chelsea explained all the steps clearly and included a demonstration at the start. Chelsea was on hand to offer advice and support during the class and gave encouragement if we weren’t sure of the next steps whilst allowing us to do it ourselves. Overall she was such a friendly positive and lovely person to spend the afternoon with which made a big difference. Enjoyed that there was some snacks and drinks included as well. The bonus was to come away with the plant pots at the end of the class rather than having to return to collect like other classes sometimes do.

Just been to a plant pot making class by Chelsie . What a fabulous evening ! All you have to do is bring yourself , Chelsie provides everything and takes you through the process step by step . It was so relaxed and fun and at the end of it you have two really lovely pots to take home . I cannot recommend it highly enough . If you get the chance - go !

Everything was fabulous! I booked this for my sisters hen party and it was the best decision, everyone loved it. It was fun and even if you arent crafty dont worry as its super easy and everything is provided for you. Chelsie was so friendly and generously brought chocolates and prosecco for the hen! We booked her to come to us, all communication before hand was quick and easy, chelsie arrived on time and got straight to work setting the table, she was enthusiastic and interactive with the whole group. It was an overall wonderful experience from start to finish and we will definitely be booking again to try the other things. 10/10.

This has been my absolute favourite class to date! This was the second class we've done with Chelsie and was just as fun as the first one. She's a fantastic host and does a really good job of making everyone feel at ease. Everyone in the class was chatting and enjoying the fantastic spread of snacks she laid out. She supplied us with plenty of booze and alcohol free options.
The new studio is cute and her dog is absolutely adorable. I would 100% reccomend this class to anyone.
The coasters came out brilliantly, I can't wait to use them at home.

We had a fantastic time with Chealsie during this workshop. She was super accommodating, offering tasty snacks and all sorts of drinks options. Everyone felt at ease, with good tunes on in the background and everyone felt comfortable chatting with each other. Chealsie did a great job explaining how to make the pots and they look mint! Crazy value for money and I would deffo reccomend to everyone to try out this class! I'll 100% be booking one of her other classes!
