What you'll do
Are you looking for things to do in Manchester that will help you carve out some much-needed time for self-care? Then you will love this creative workshop that's all about macrame.
In this lovely two-hour craft class you'll learn everything you need to know to make your very own heart-shaped macrame wall hanging, surrounded by friends in our cosy central Manchester studio. No knowledge is needed. Just turn up with a positive attitude.
You'll get plenty of guidance from your friendly teacher Chelsie. Learn how to start, which macrame knots to use and how perfect the heart shape. This is a small and intimate workshop so Chelsie will be available for all the one-to-one help you may need!
All the macrame supplies and some refreshments are provided. You'll go home with your own gorgeous piece of boho, DIY home decor.
Choose from a selection of colours in our premium 100% recycled cotton cord; whilst we love making beautiful things here at Studio Dawn, we certainly also love making sustainable creations too! From your materials to the packaging you'll take it home in, every part of your workshop has the planet in mind.

I'm Chelsie, a macrame maestro and all-round craft queen based in Manchester!
I found macrame during the pandemic when I needed something to calm my mind. I found so much mindfulness within the craft, and have since opened a creative studio where people come together to learn macrame and other crafts as a form of self care.
I'm passionate about sharing different ways to be creative; I don't believe that you have to be great (or even good!) at a craft to find joy and peace in it. The first step to being good at something is being bad at it!
