Come and learn the timeless art of goldwork in this introductory embroidery workshop in London. During this four-hour activity, you will discover how to create a stunning floral design that can be transformed into a beautiful brooch or a unique piece of art for your home.
This workshop is perfect for all skill levels, whether you are new to embroidery or wish to build on your existing talents. Your expert teacher, Beth, a graduate of the Royal School of Needle Embroidery, will be there to support you. She will guide you through traditional techniques, using materials like pearl purl, smooth purl, and rough purl to craft an intricate goldwork flower. This rewarding class offers a wonderful opportunity to slow down and immerse yourself in a craft with a thousand-year history.
There will be plenty of moments to pause and refresh throughout the four-hour session. The goal is for you to leave with a finished piece, so Beth will be on hand to offer her guidance at every stage.
You'll finish the workshop with a gorgeous, handcrafted creation and a newfound appreciation for this shimmering embroidery style, feeling creatively fulfilled by the experience.

Nothing but we do suggest if you wear glasses make sure they are packed for the workshop :-)
