One-to-one Cricut Workshop

Join us in store and talk to a craft expert for tips and advice on your Cricut machine or project!

1 hour Class size 1 on 1       £28

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space? Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

I hadn't realised I could have booked an absolute beginners session which on hindsight i needed. Can't wait to get started. Tha is again Sharon 5*+

  • 5/5 from Bryony Law, attended Feb 2025: Sharon was very helpful and friendly. She helped me understand basics and has offered further help if I need it with booking another workshop. We looked at different methods and materials. I found the workshop helpful and would definitely book another one after getting used to my machine at home.
  • 5/5 from Barbara Harley, attended Feb 2025: The one-to-one workshop was excellent and Sharon, the teacher, explained features of Cricut Design Space in an easy to understand way. Sharon was friendly and patient answering my questions and showed me how easy it is to use Design Space for what I needed it for. I would recommend the venue as it had good wi-fi so I was able to use my own laptop which was really helpful. I liked that Sharon was very knowledgeable of Design Space and I am now confident in using Design Space for the projects I wanted to use my Maker3 for.
  • 3/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Oct 2024: Sharon was very knowledgeable and worked hard to make it work. I felt it being on the shop floor was distracting. Also machines and materials and prep beforehand could have been done to get going immediately as one machine wasn’t working and lots of time wasted.
  • 5/5 from Alison Bailey, attended Aug 2024: Kerry was fantastic. She was patient, knowledgeable and really helpful. From not knowing anything about it, Kerry showed me what is possible too. Well worth the money. Thanks Kerry
  • 5/5 from Kayleigh Taylor, attended May 2024: Had a cricut workshop at my local store on Thursday. Sharon the cricut master was amazing and taught me so much, even able to answer my questions regarding which machine I should upgrade to for certain projects I am wanting to make in the near future.

  • 5/5 from Mandy Ross, attended Jan 2024: Sharon answered all my questions and was very helpful I learned a lot, Sharon also did demos which was very helpful, thank you Sharon
  • 5/5 from Karen, attended Nov 2023: As a complete newbie to Cricut, I found the workshop very informative and convinced me that I want this as my new hobby! I was shown the capabilities of the machines and the different material options. Once I buy my machine, I'm sure I will book further workshops to master the craft :)
  • 5/5 from Lisa Downing, attended Apr 2023: Had an amazing time with Sharon. She was so helpful, showed me so much, Im very keen to get using my Cricut and to have some fun creating new things. Thankyou so much for a lovely morning. xx
  • 5/5 from Karen Simpson, attended Feb 2023: Sharon was very knowledgeable and very patient. We were starting from scratch as I’m still exploring the machines I will need. So she was able to give me a solid overview as well as then moving in on how to tackle the types of products I will be wanting to produce.
  • 5/5 from Samantha Scane, attended Jan 2023: Sharon was excellent from before I even booked the cricut workshop til the very end of it
  • 5/5 from Sharon Torode, attended Dec 2022: I'm new to Cricut, Sharon explained everything and was happy to demonstrate some of the the ideas I wanted to try first, she showed me what equipment I would need to get me started. I now can't wait to put what I've learnt into action, highly recommend.
  • 5/5 from Christine Astles, attended Dec 2022: Sharon was very knowledgeable, she explained everything well, also why my attempts had gone wrong. All equipment was supplied. The only thing I would have changed was where the 1 to 1 was held, I think a small place off the shop floor would have been better, Sharon was interrupted by shopper asking for directions to items, but I understand you have to be near the Cricut equipment. Overall I learned such a lot, and will be asking Santa for an Easypress machine for Christmas, so fingers crossed.
  • 5/5 from Karen Alcock, attended Oct 2022: My one to one tutorial was brilliant. It was very thorough and she answered all my questions. There were a few she could not answer but gave me contact details and where to go for more information. I would highly recommend it (and have already) to others to attend one. I have done a lot of research on line, but the one to one gave me the opportunity to ask questions directly relating to my needs rather than sitting through youtube clip hoping that they cover my question at some point. I currently do not have a Cricut Maker so was desperate to have a go and learn as much as I could before I bought one. My class was brilliant and I am about to by one today
  • 4/5 from Adrianne Jennings, attended Oct 2022: I enjoyed my session with Sharon. She was able to answer all my questions. I would highly recommend a session with Sharon if you don't know which cricut product you want to buy. She is very knowledgeable.
  • 5/5 from Rachel O'Donovan, attended Aug 2022: Really helpful session yesterday to get me started again using my cricut (which has been sat unloved in its box for quite a while!). Claire did a great job of standing in for Sharon and was really friendly and helpful and gave lots of ideas. It was great to have a bespoke experience to go over exactly what I needed. Will definitely book in again for some more help on the more advanced stuff once I’ve mastered everything we went over!
  • 5/5 from Claire Green, attended Jul 2022: Thank you Sharon you are a great learning mentor, really looking forward to doing more with you soon. Would highly recommend to everyone :)
  • 4/5 from Julie Adshead, attended Jul 2022: I attended a cricut 1-1 in Crewe, Sharon the teacher was very informative, lovely helpful lady, the only thing that would of made the class more enjoyable would of been to be able to sit down at a table away from the other customers, I have a bad leg & found it a little painful, I didn't mention this at the time, but I am sure I'm not the only person with a disability. I didn't have any issues with the knowledge & friendliness of Sharon the tutor.
  • 5/5 from Beverley Hinsley, attended Jun 2022: Learnt new things from teacher who showed me what I asked for. Interesting time. Excellent
  • 5/5 from Claire Green, attended May 2022: Amazing value for money and I learnt so much in such a short time. Thank you Sharon, I really enjoyed it!
  • 5/5 from Vicky Nash, attended May 2022: Brilliant lesson learnt loads lovely lady Only thing would be maybe chairs as standing for a two hr lesson was hard Thank you
  • 5/5 from Tony McMahon, attended Apr 2022: Sharon is absolutely fantastic really friendly and helpful. She is explained everything so clearly and precise. Thanks so much we will be back
  • 5/5 from Pat Dean, attended Feb 2022: Time went too quickly. Sharon really knew her stuff and tailored the lesson to what I wanted. Showed me some basics as well as talking through what machine could do and also looking at what I wanted to do. Would recommend and am looking at booking some other classes.
  • 4/5 from Debbie Watson, attended Feb 2022: The workshop was good answered all my question that needed answering, thank you for all your help today.
  • 5/5 from Claire Wiseman, attended Jan 2022: Sharon was great and talked me through the cricut that most fitted my needs, she listened to what my interests are and walked me through how to achieve it using the machine available, only negative was no stock instore if machine so they ordered for delivery and after purchasing £450 worth of accessories the delivery machine was also out if stock, now i have to return to store to get my money back and i gave no cricut only very expensive accessories some which came as a bundle but i am then charged more for them as the machine was out of stock
  • 5/5 from Helen Williams, attended Jan 2022: I found the teacher very friendly and and easy to get on with. She was very informative and got me started as I hadn’t yet setup my machine. I am sure I will return for for workshops when I have more experience and practice!
  • 5/5 from Eve Woodman, attended Jan 2022: Sharon was really helpful and knowledgable and answered all my daughter’s questions. We were able to use the same model of cricut that we have, within the store, and my daughter was able to save to her own design space account, so she could refer back to it after the class. Sharon brought lots of examples of projects so she could see other things that she could try with her cricut. Since returning from the class she has confidently tried some new projects and I would rebook with Sharon as my daughter tries new things and has more questions. Sharon was very good at making my daughter feel happy and confident to try new things, thank you
  • 4/5 from Peter Goodwin, attended Jan 2022: Came before I bought a circuit for cutting out Scalescenes card models to see if it would work but still trying to find a easyway to turn scalescenes into SVG so they can be cut in cricut
  • 5/5 from Teresa Black, attended Nov 2021: I had a one to one i found it very helpful and informative. Went away with lots of ideas
  • 5/5 from Sharon Birch, attended Oct 2021: Sharon was so helpful, I have had my cricut machine since April and had watched lots of you tube videos but I was just still struggling to get my head around it all. Within 10 minutes Sharon explained more than I could have got from watching some videos. I highly recommend doing this one to one class, it’s so much more simple to use the machine now and I completed my first project an hour after getting back home. I know that I will become a cricut addict like everyone else that has this machine.
  • 5/5 from Lesley Leese, attended Sep 2021: Sharon was great. Everything was set up ready and waiting. Gave me lots of ideas on how to make the most of the materials I already have and how to explore many new products.
  • 5/5 from Christine Parker, attended Sep 2021: Very good. Well explained. Easy to understand. Hour went to quick. Enjoyed it. Leant a lot.
  • 5/5 from Julie Nixon, attended Sep 2021: Sharon is lovely, very knowledgeable about the cricut. Hobby raft in Crewe is easy to find. The staff are all friendly and helpful I took my own machine as they did not have a cricut explore 3 in demo yet. We didn't actually print anything but we (I took my 8 year old granddaughter along with me) leaned so much about the 'design space' software. We left feeling a lot more confident about using the machine, the software and the available printing products. We could not wait to get home to try all the ideas that Sharon had given us.
  • 5/5 from Tracy Chapman, attended Aug 2021: Really nice help staff got a lot out of it but still more to learn
