Learn how to create your very own open terrarium at this plant care workshop in London. Using both cacti and succulents you will spend an hour and a half mixing the perfect soil, carefully planting your chosen plants and decorating a gorgeous round glass bowl. Your friendly teacher has a fantastic selection of cacti and succulents and amazing varied decorative materials for you to choose from. From bark to gravel, from sand to moss, your open terrarium will be totally unique.
They'll then show you each step to making your own terrarium to suit your tastes. You'll love the relaxing, contemplative art of arranging your own mini-ecosystem, leaving the class feeling creatively refreshed and totally chilled.
This is a great activity for teamwork, team building, birthday party, gift for any occasion. Want to freshen up your weekend or weekday? Looking for fun things to do in London? I was the only one in my class, so I got a great one to one experience. She guided me through each stage in the process and why we needed to add each thing (e.g. charcoal for keeping things clean and reducing bacterial infections!) and encouraged me to think about how I'd like to arrange my plants. Malina also gave me lots of tips to keep my terrarium plants happy and healthy, so hopefully it will survive for years! I came away with a beautiful succulent terrarium that I'm very excited to watch grow and thrive. Although Malina gave me a box to take it home in, just beware that it can be quite heavy (it is full of soil!) to carry home, so if you're going on the tube, consider a sturdy bag or even a trolley if you're not strong!

The class is definitely worth the price and would be perfect for people who have never tried it before, as everything, literally everything will be provided, including the vase, the tools and the plants. You just have to be there to enjoy it. I am now considering taking the closed terrarium class in the future, but you know my flat is too small to put all of the terraria on display. :(
