  • 5/5 from Berni Peters, attended Jul 2026: Great experience beginners guide to crochet, teacher Lexi was very patient, kind and gave me confidence in what i was doing. Time went very quickly, good atmosphere to learn in. Thanks Lexi great teacher
  • 5/5 from Maisy Nicholaou, attended May 2026: Lexi was very patient, clear, funny and approachable.
  • 5/5 from Rebecca Naughton, attended Apr 2026: Lexi was an incredible teacher - my daughter and I had such a lovely time and came away with great basic skills and a clear idea of what to practise to improve our crochet skills.
  • 4/5 from Janet Gover, attended Feb 2026: Lexi, our teacher was very good indeed. She engaged with the 5 in the class and spent time with each of us. I am left-handed, and a complete beginner at crochet so getting to grips crocheting in reverse I was all fingers and thumbs, but once I made a start, I wasn't too bad. Lots of practice needed. The only thing I would say is that 5 complete beginners in the class was a lot, either cut down on numbers or increase the length of the session, as we could have done with more time.
  • 5/5 from Sue Verity, attended Jan 2026: Susan was our teacher of crochet today. She was friendly and patient with us all and moved us forward at a pace suitable to each person. Her instruction was clear and helpful allowing us to go away with new skills to practice at home.
  • 5/5 from Linda Ferdman, attended Jan 2026: Nice to be able to choose own colours of yarn to use. Clear instructions given and demonstrated. Left class with understanding of basic stitches
  • 4/5 from Fiona Lowis, attended Jan 2026: The other ladies were lovely and the hour class went very fast. Found it very difficult using my left hand to hold the wool when I am right handed. Took a while to get started but once I held the wool in my right hand I found it easier to manage. I have practiced over the weekend and my way may be the incorrect way but it works for me.
  • 4/5 from Helen Mayhew, attended Dec 2025: While at the class I couldn't get the hang of it at all. it was only when I went home and had a go that I could do it. I also found how your taught to hold the wool hindered me picking it up, once I held the wool how I wanted to I didn't seem to have any trouble crocheting. Find the way you feel comfortable doing it.
  • 5/5 from Danielle Flood, attended May 2025: Susan was an amazing teacher. She definitely has patience and was happy to attempt to explain things repeatedly with visuals. Will definitely be booking a 1-2-1 slot again. Highly recommend

  • 5/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Sep 2024: I thoroughly enjoyed my beginners crochet lesson. Susan was so patient and showed me over and over again how to hold the needle until I got it. I’m left handed so it was more difficult. There was a small choice of yarns of which I was given two balls and a needle to keep. The class was good value and since I did it three days ago I’ve started making a baby blanket.

  • 5/5 from Deirdre Tahany, attended Sep 2024: Maybe use thinner wool, the chunky provided tended to separate. A longer session? Time flew and the class was over too soon.
  • 5/5 from Claire Coggins, attended Aug 2024: A fantastic private class for 2 people with Sue. We were taught the basics of crochet and because we both got on well, we went on to learn a granny square. Will definitely recommend this class and might try a different class in time. Thank you Sue
  • 5/5 from Chantal Graves, attended Jul 2024: Sue was a great teacher. I would have liked a printed sheet showing the first few stich types as a reminder e.g. the slip knot at the start.
  • 5/5 from Gill Warner, attended Jun 2024: How easy the instructions were. Sushma was very patient and explained things clear and concise. I will continue to practice at home.
  • 4/5 from Karen, attended May 2024: I enjoyed the class and some things I'd been struggling to pick up really made sense from attending it. • 5/5 from Hayley Gandhi, attended Oct 2023: Susan was very clear and patient, explaining stitches etc very well. Venue was Staines store, good lighting. Excellent value for money as I purchased with a discount but even full price I’d say it’s good value. I learnt three stitches, just need to remember them now! I will definitely book another class, maybe the granny square one when I feel a bit more confident.

  • 5/5 from Julianne Dowling, attended Aug 2023: Friendly small class, clear and helpful instructions. Great motivation to try other crochet projects and classes
  • 5/5 from Claire Pope, attended Jul 2023: We were a small class of three which was nice because we could all ask questions and check our progress without interrupting others. Our teacher Sarah was friendly, patient and managed to show us several types of stitch in the time we had. We were invited to choose two colours of wool and were given a crochet hook, all of which were included in the course and we could bring home for practice. The class took place in the middle of the store which was fine but bear in mind if you’re self conscious, people will be coming over to see what you are doing. I’m glad I went and would recommend this course for people looking to try something new.
  • 5/5 from Harmeet Sidhu, attended Jul 2023: Susan was an amazing teacher. She taught us how to chain, double/triple/half-triple stitches. Very patient and great at explaining. We got to choose 2 different yarns (whatever colours you like, though it’s easier to learn on lighter colours) and were given a crochet needle as well! Would highly recommend for anybody who is keen to start crocheting!
