Looking for a fun and creative painting class in London for your little ones? Join us at Art Play London for an exciting workshop where kids can discover the world of street art. Get inspired by the vibrant street art in London as we perfect way for children to express themselves and get creative.
In this workshop, children will have the opportunity to learn how to create their own street art and learn how to use graffiti tools like markers and spray paints. They'll start by creating their very own canvas masterpieces, experimenting with colours and techniques. Once they've honed their skills, they'll have the chance to freestyle on designated walls where it's legal to paint, applying their new knowledge in a real-world setting. Our friendly teacher will be there to assist and guide them as they unleash their creativity.
Don't worry if your child doesn't have any painting experience. This is a beginner-friendly art lesson that aims to help them relax and have fun in a group setting. We'll provide all the materials needed for the workshop, including the spray paints and stencils.
Please note: Adults can join the workshop but must buy a ticket. This is not a drop-off workshop – adults must remain on-site with their children. You're welcome to relax with a coffee or even join in the creativity!
To ensure an uninterrupted and fun workshop for all participants, we kindly request that attendees arrive on time, as late arrivals exceeding a 10-minute delay will be turned away to avoid disruption to the ongoing class and inconvenience to others.

  • 5/5 from Nina Savill, attended Jul 2025: My kids loved this workshop so much! The location is tricky -it’s under the far side of train tracks that are alongside the park. The teacher was amazing and kind, and he made it really fun. He taught them some line and shading techniques, and then let them have at it with their ideas. He worked with each of them, teaching them tips and different techniques for their individual creations. They were really proud of what they made! It was a really cool and unique experience. We were in London on holiday and this was definitely a highlight!!
  • 5/5 from Lucy Amina-Brown, attended Jul 2025: We had an amazing experience, best graffiti class ever! Stephen was a fantastic teacher, engaging, informative & super fun. My son (7) had a great time & we’ll definitely book again in future. Side note - the class we originally booked was cancelled but we were rebooked onto a class later the same day. We received an email & text from ClassBento the morning of the session, so communication was good! All worked out in the end and we’re glad we had such a great teacher

She absolutely loved it, remained totally engaged throughout, loved being able to paint on an actual wall, next to real life graffiti and left thoroughly inspired. Massive shout out to Oli, the teacher, who was so patient and kind, making sure he gave every particpant lots of time and encouragement. Lovely lovely guy! I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone with a creative child!

  • 5/5 from Kim Wilks, attended Mar 2025: Although he was late by 5 mins, Steven was fantastic! He had such a good way with the kids. He made them feel at ease and able to be as creative as they wanted to be whilst still learning some really good tips. We'll definitely be back!
  • 5/5 from Angela Swift, attended Feb 2025: Stephen was great really friendly and encouraging. My son absolutely loved his time and really ignigited a spark for art in a whole new way. Was great fun to see him fully embracing the experience. Would definitely recommend we are off to buy some spray paint now.
  • 5/5 from Michelle Persaud, attended Feb 2025: Class was cancelled 1hr 20mins prior to the start. Unfortunatley due to travelling to the meet point I didn't see the message until I arrived. It was a birthday present for my daughter and her friend so not ideal. A refund has been offered by the artist but unsure how to get this via ClassBento. I only receive requests for a review and have not had a response to my email to ClassBento. Artist has been responsive so that is a positive and has kindly offered to contact the relevant person for the refund on my behalf.
  • 5/5 from Chiselle Alexander, attended Jan 2025: Stephen was open and friendly from the start which made the whole experience fantastic. Sharing his knowledge and thoughts/ideas with my son who took in everything. He loved all aspects of the lesson and is keen to learn more and continue to improve his painting skills. From Euan - ‘Thank you for being so interactive, listening to me & making my ideas better. I had a great time and I will definitely get some cans’.
  • 5/5 from Benjamin Smith, attended Jan 2025: Teacher was excellent. Gave each of the six students individual attention and lots of encouragement. Made the class fun and educational. Very good safety briefing at the beginning and used only non-toxic materials. Class was a gift but the gift card was not useful for presenting to recipient.
  • 5/5 from Esther Berglund, attended Jan 2025: Really great class. Very friendly teacher who gave clear good instructions and very helpful.
  • 5/5 from Marie Claxton, attended Nov 2024: Would have liked a text to say the instructor was running late as we were concerned we may have been in the wrong place. Other than that my Grandaughter had a fabulous time, the instructors were great with the kids and parents.
  • 5/5 from Vikki, attended Sep 2024: We were first timers today, and came away fulfilled with the experience! Stephen was great, great with kids, fun & friendly! We learnt alot about the industry & its level of artistic talent. Thankyou, will definetley recommend.
  • 5/5 from Nikki, attended Aug 2024: It was a fun and knowledgeable class with genuine graffiti spraying tips. Our kids had a great time with a teacher who was patient and encouraging. They got to paint parts of a wall and a canvas. You are painting over other work as it is a "free wall" but that didn't bother us, just added to the authenticity. My kids picked it up quickly and were able to be creative, the time went by fast. Come with ideas so you aren't stuck thinking of something to paint. There are aprons and it is a water based paint.
  • 5/5 from Charlotte Colthorpe, attended Jul 2024: We bought this as a birthday gift for my 9 year old son and soon to be 8 year old nephew. They had such a fantastic time and it was worth every penny. Steve and Harriet were incredibly attentive to the children and gave them lots of tips and encouragement- we couldn’t have asked for better people to carry out the session! Thanks so much to them for making it such an incredible experience! Would highly recommend!
  • 5/5 from Jennifer Babington, attended Jun 2024: Honestly, absolutely fantastic teachers. Such a passion for their job. So knowledgeable and interesting. I was very impressed
  • 5/5 from Emma, attended Mar 2024: What can I say what a fantastic graffiti session. All of the home educating children had so much fun thank you so much.
  • 5/5 from Elfia Bezou-Vrakatseli, attended Nov 2023: The class was great and we all really enjoyed it. Thank you so much for the experience!
  • 4/5 from Sadiyah Ahmad, attended Sep 2023: I took my niece and nephew to try this class after just having been a day earlier for the sober sip and paint and being extremely impressed by the lovely venue, teacher and pace of the workshop. The graffiti one was good also, originally we were supposed to do caps but did canvases which turned out good. I do feel an hour is a bit short of time to get through it all, however we were given the time to stay and finish beyond the class timing which really helped and the teacher was really encouraging and supportive. The kids loved and so did I, a great way to tap in to your creativity
  • 5/5 from Angelos Evangelidis, attended Nov 2022: The students were very happy with the workshop and learnt many new things! Thank you!

Art Play London was founded by Silva Castellani in 2018, starting in galleries such as Phillips, and pop up venues around London.
Art Play is now a new art studio which opened in East London in February 2022, where children and adults of all ages are free to release their imaginations and inner creativity.
Art Play has a strong focus and the environment and aims to educate children and adults on their environmental impact through art, using a variety of sustainable mediums and materials.
Art Play is part of the worldwide Precious Plastic community which means it will be a plastic collection point for people to drop off their HDPE plastic which would otherwise end up in landfills or the ocean. The plastic is then shredding and melted and turned into useful objects and pieces of art, such as plant pots and coasters.
