We learnt lots of different ways to fold dumplings and wontons and got to taste some at the end. We also got to take our creations to cook and eat at home. Very easy gift card to use and book on to. Would highly recommend.

  • 5/5 from Violet Bevan, attended Jun 2026: Our teacher was Helena. She was bright, entertaining and a great teacher. Helena created a really welcoming and friendly atmosphere too making it easy to talk to other customers, making new friendships. The tasters we got at the end were delicious. The amount we were allowed to make was also very generous - myself and my sister have both gone home with a weeks worth of dumplings. Thank you Helena (and Denna) for hosting a great class.
  • 5/5 from Anonymised ClassBento customer, attended Jun 2026: Helena's dumpling and wonton making class was awesome! :) Helena was a great host and teacher. She gave clear, simple instructions, which meant I (sort of) mastered folding by the end of the session. She also gave a short history of dumplings/wontons, too, which was very engaging. We learnt 4 different dumpling/wonton folds in total, and there were plenty of ingredients provided to make loads of dumplings and wontons. The venue (House of Denna) was lovely, and the manager (Denna) was super welcoming and helped ensure the class ran very smoothly, too. Bonus point, the venue was easy to find and in a very picturesque location near the Thames, so you can get some really good pics on a sunny day! We got to take home the dumplings we had made, and Helena cooked us some expertly made ones to try, which were very tasty. We were also sent the recipes for everything we had made, which is great because I will definitely be making dumplings at home now! She was very accommodating of dietary preferences and made sure to check everything was okay and in place beforehand, which I really appreciated. I never normally do things like this, but hand on heart, I can say that the class was a thoroughly enjoyable experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone up for a peaceful weekend afternoon of dumpling folding :)
  • 5/5 from Maria Sanchis, attended Apr 2026: We had a great time and it was actually nice to meet others (as an introvert) We loved learning new ways of folding gyozas and wontons and we have been eating them for 2 nights now, delicious! Thank you so much, we will be back for another class for sure!
  • 5/5 from Louise Reddy, attended Feb 2026: Really fun expereince. Helena was a fantastic host and made everyone feel super welcome. She showed some examples of how to fold dumplings, and then we all had a go at trying the different folds and tasting the end product. Her supervision telling us what we'd done right and wrong (BOAT not HAT!) was excellent. Getting to take home our creations was a fantastic way to finish and remember the class as well. Was a great couple hours and I'd recommend to all!
  • 5/5 from Charlotte Burge, attended Feb 2026: We had a great time making our dumplings and wontons, teacher was excellent and we’re were able to make a huge amount to feed us for the next few days. Deanna was great, venue was easy to find and a cute spot
  • 5/5 from Estella Dorgan, attended Feb 2026: Very helpful teacher who kept coming round when people needed anything. Super polite! I loved folding the dumplings
  • 5/5 from Emily, attended Feb 2026: Great fun class! Very clear instructions from Helena, who was super friendly, and the class was not too hard to be enjoyable. I can now make several shapes of dumplings and will be doing them at home. Loads of dumplings to take home too, so good value. And a lovely venue and host too.
  • 5/5 from Jon Oiartzun, attended Feb 2026: Helena was a lot of fun, exuded tons of positive energy, she was very nice and patient, and spent enough time with me to learn what I needed to do. I left feeling a sense of accomplishment and could not wait to practise at home what I learnt from her that evening. I'd highly recommend. We learnt to make 2 types of dumplings - jiaozi and wonton, each with its different wrapper or skin. We learnt different shapes for each, and different ways of cooking them. Overall, I couldn't be happier for attending this class.

  • 5/5 from Livia Scott, attended Dec 2025: Helena was brilliant! She gave clear instructions and came around everyone to help if they needed it. Even with a full class we got to make plenty of each item. Helena then cooked up multiple plates full of wontons and dumplings in a lovely sauce for us to try - really tasty and fun!
  • 5/5 from Georgie Huxley, attended Nov 2025: My friends gifted me this for my birthday and it was the best present! I went with my boyfriend to Woolwich where the class was taking place. Rushing in the heavy rain, we scurried into ‘House of Denna’ which is the cosiest little haven tucked just off Woolwich Pier. We were greeted by Denna herself who was so friendly and sat us down. We made friends with the girls on our table and ordered some drinks. Hel began by welcoming everyone to the class and started explaining each different dumpling. She was amazing, folding dumplings without even looking! She explain so thoroughly and made sure every single person knew what they were doing. She was so warm, kind, funny and knowledgeable. We ended up making so many more dumplings that I thought! It was so meditative and fun. I was very excited to learn a new skill and experiment with different folds! After about an hour and a half of folding, Hel began cooking the dumplings that she’d been making herself throughout the class. We all got our fair sharing of dumplings at the end of class and they were unreal. My boyfriend and I went home feeling very pleased with our masse of dumplings and cooked them the next day. Hel kindly send out recipes so you can cook them and home and that’s what we did! They were so good and I can’t wait to make dumplings now for all my friends and family. If you’re thinking about heading to this class by yourself, with a friend or buying it for a present - DO IT! Many thanks to Hel and Denna for making it such a wonderful experience. We will be back ️
