What you'll do

Tried all the usual London attractions and looking for something a little more unique? Dive into the amazing world of abstract imagery and create a handmade masterpiece with this beginner-friendly art class in London.

You'll be greeted by your expert teacher, Tere, at a meeting place in Hackney, East London and you'll enjoy a short walk to the quirky and bohemian secret studio where you'll be taking your art class. There'll be plenty of time to ask questions and take pictures on arrival at this unique bohemian space in a railway arch, ready to perfect your painting in a calming and quirky atmosphere.

After touring the studio, Tere will introduce you to artist Colin, who'll showcase some inspiring artwork and demonstrate some of the art techniques you'll be having a go at in your workshop. Then it's your turn to take over and get painting. Can't remember the last time you picked up a paintbrush? No worries! This London art workshop is full of step-by-step guidance and will help you relax and unwind as you tap into your creative potential.

You'll be shown a range of painting techniques during your London art class and you'll have plenty of time to develop them and experiment. As you express yourself creatively, you'll hear all about colour theory and how to put it into practice in your work.

At the end of your London art class, you'll have a marvellous masterpiece to take home and all the skills to match. Looking for fun group activities to enjoy with your gang? Bring them along and try some painting with a twist together!

Please note:

If your painting has not dried by the end of the class, we can send it to you afterwards or arrange collection on a suitable day.

5/5 from Scott Berry, attended Jan 2024: Colin was a fantastic teacher on the course. His encouragement and guidance was greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for an abstract course!
5/5 from Michele Patano, attended Nov 2023: I had a great and unique experience at the class. I was given both the guidance and all the freedom to be creative and use the colours and patterns of my choice. When things went wrong, Colin was super helpful to show techniques that helped me improve and sometimes correct my pieces. Can’t recommend this class enough. Thanks you Colin for creating such a great, friendly and welcoming environment to create!
5/5 from Twan Thorn, attended Jul 2023: It was a great experience, Colin is a patient teacher. I had a very good time
5/5 from Anupam Arora, attended Sep 2022: I had a great day with Colin creating beautiful art. Colin was friendly and the environment was relaxed. I enjoyed learning to work with acrylic colors and spray paints which was new to me. Colin guided me superbly through the whole process.
5/5 from Andrew Hill, attended May 2022: Really excellent class, led expertly y Colin. He was brilliant at helping us explore the techniques and materials, and we left having had a fabulous time, and with some pieces to take home to remember the day by. Would recommend for complete beginners or experts alike.
5/5 from Adrien Conrath, attended Feb 2022: It was an awesome day with Colin in his lovely studio! I learnt a lot of great techniques and Colin helped me along the way in the making of a great piece of art that I am now proudly displaying in my office. The day was not only an opportunity to learn technical skills, but also spend a day with an artist who showed me a lot of their creations. The class was so good that I decided to come back the day after. Thanks Colin for an awesome adventure!
