Grounding with a Short Meditation

Grounding with a Short Meditation

You will be accessing the Amygdala part of the brain. It notices emotions, scans for danger, and reacts quickly when life feels overwhelming — especially with emotions like jealousy, comparison, or feeling ‘not enough’.

Map Your Mood Colour Card

Map Your Mood Colour Card

Choose colours that feel like the emotion you’re bringing today — jealousy, comparison, tension, or anything else that’s been sitting quietly inside you.

Meet The Green Shadow

You will be creating a Collage in your given journal — make it a playful, expressive creature made from torn or cut paper that represents the shape, colour, texture and energy of jealousy.

Taste and Bake

End the practice with the final part of the mindful meditation to check in with your moods, your body, and how you felt before and after your Calm & Creative Session.

Join this creative workshop in Alsager and take part in a gentle, guided exploration of creativity and self-expression that's as much about how you feel as what you make.
Through a thoughtful mix of painting, colouring, sculpting, collage, and more, you'll work with materials including paints, papers, and fabrics at whatever pace feels right for you. The session has a quiet, unhurried rhythm to it, moving through:
  • A short meditation or grounding practice to settle in
  • Gentle creative activities including painting, sculpting, and collage
  • Journaling prompts for self-reflection
  • A calming closure to leave you feeling centred
If you're coming in feeling a little unsure, that's completely fine – this workshop is made for beginners, and there's no pressure to produce anything polished or perfect. The atmosphere is warm and low-key, giving you the space to follow your instincts and see where the making takes you.
You might find the experience sparks something unexpected – a moment of calm, a surge of excitement, or simply the quiet satisfaction of having made something with your hands. Whatever unfolds, you'll leave with a meaningful keepsake to take home and a little more breathing room than you arrived with.
What you'll get
  • A journal book to add to every month.
  • Tea and refreshments.
