What you'll do

Every week we have abandoned artwork left at our studio and unfortunately, we don't have the space to keep it all!

So we have decided to give these artworks a new life! Join our upcycling session and choose from a collection of canvases that have been sprayed or painted over. These canvases are primed and ready for you to repaint and bring them back to life.

We are running as a coffee shop throughout the day and a bar in the evening.

Please note: This is a free flow unguided session. You won't have a teacher on hand to teach you any skills.

The session lasts up to 2.5 hours, but of course you can come and go when you wish.

We each did separate pieces of art, two pieces of pottery and one canvas. Would definitely recommend this activity for friends and family or just to come by yourself and relaxed. 10 out of 10 experience!

It made me very uncomfortable. I thought I go to a cultural place and was not prepared to see antisemics Moto in a place like that.

We were the first ones there and had the place to ourselves which was lovely. The lady was so kind, she gave us a tour of the place with clear and easy instructions to follow. The place is really chilled and the 3 year old loved spending time creating beautiful paintings. I would definitely recommend this place!

For me, free flow painting is quite therapeutic. If it is too noisy with the other workshop around having their guided painting class, you can still put your headphones on and enjoy being in your bubble painting.

It’s very busy, so I definitely recommend booking in advance. Be aware that it can be a bit loud as the classes go on at the same time and it’s all on one floor Our host/server (apologies I didn’t get his name) was very nice and welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our experience (thank you!) Overall, the experience was fun and you get to take your art home

Art Play London was founded by Silva Castellani in 2018, starting in galleries such as Phillips, and pop up venues around London.

Art Play is now a new art studio which opened in East London in February 2022, where children and adults of all ages are free to release their imaginations and inner creativity.

Art Play has a strong focus and the environment and aims to educate children and adults on their environmental impact through art, using a variety of sustainable mediums and materials.
