What you'll do
Whether you want to impress your friends or are looking for something fun to do, this online workshop will show you the techniques for the ultimate low-carbon musical instrument: the hand flute! Once you've mastered the technique, you can practice music anytime, anywhere. So wash your hands and be ready to learn without pressure!
Producing the first sound can sometimes feel daunting, but fear not! Your expert instructor will guide you step by step, ensuring that you learn how to create the perfect chamber of air with your hands. There are two commonly used techniques - the "cupped hand" and the "interlock" - and we'll cover them both. You can choose the technique that suits you best.
As a bonus, at the end of the 10-minute lesson, you'll also learn how to play the Leaflute, another low-carbon musical instrument. So not only will you be reducing your carbon footprint, but you'll also be expanding your musical repertoire.
