Settle in with your partner. You’ll be introduced to the idea behind the workshop.

The Ice Breaker: Draw the silly things

The Ice Breaker: Draw the Silly Things

You’ll draw your answers to a series of prompts without talking or using words.
You’ll have around 30–45 seconds for each drawing, then reveal your answers together.

I See You: It gets deep

I See You: It Gets Deep

Now we slow things down. You’ll have a little more time, around 3–5 minutes per prompt, to draw something about your partner that might be harder to put into words.

The Love Map: What's to come

The Love Map: What's to Come

For the final activity, you’ll create something together: a visual map of your relationship, past, present and future.

A playful date night, this 75-minute painting experience in London is designed to help couples laugh, connect, and see each other in a different way.
No artistic skills needed. Just bring your partner, an open mind, and a willingness to get a little messy.
Together, through guided prompts, you’ll turn your bodies into one shared canvas. You’ll start with playful paint games designed to break the ice. Then, as the night goes on, you’ll use colour and symbols to express the things you notice, admire, and appreciate about each other.
Please note: Ticket prices are per couple.

FAQ

What should I wear?
Please dress for your arms and chest to be exposed. Make up wipes will be provided at the end to wipe off.
Will aprons be provided?
No because you will be using Body-safe paint pens which saves a lot of mess! So activities will be more of drawing than traditional painting.
How does it work?
Without giving too much away, 3 activities will happen in order- "The icebreaker", "I see you" and the "Love Map". Prompts/Questions will be asked, and you will respond by drawing on your partner rather than answering the question with words.

You will be provided with Make-up wipes at the end of session which will remove the paint. You may need to take a warm shower after to get some stubborn marks off after.

Hello! I’m a Tanzanian illustrator and the founder of Seronga Art est 2020. My practice grew out of a love for colour, pattern and storytelling, and has always been heavily influenced by my African heritage. I have delivered creative art and illustration workshops with organisations including CEF Zanzibar and The Element Project in the UK.
My workshops are designed to be playful and accessible rather than intimidating. I like giving people creative prompts and techniques that get them out of their own heads whether that's drawing without looking at the page, experimenting with mark-making or building a portrait through colour, fabric and collage.
I’m particularly interested in helping people discover their own visual language rather than teaching everyone to make the same thing. The best part is seeing how differently everyone interprets the same starting point. I also think there's something quite liberating about my approach to art: more is more! I want people to feel that they are allowed to experiment, clash colours, layer materials and make something completely their own.
My work has been featured internationally across art, design, architecture and cultural publications, including Aesthetica Magazine, The Architects’ Journal, The Art Newspaper, FAD Magazine and The Citizen Tanzania.
