What you'll do
Do you have a Cricut machine and are left wondering how to use it to its fullest potential? Join Cricut expert, Cat, in this virtual experience and learn how to master this versatile machine.
This online craft class is fully customizable to the machine you have and how you want to use it. From Cricut Air to Make and Joy, Cat is fully versed in all the versions with loads of experience as a UK Cricut ambassador. Feel free to ask questions and soak up all of Cat's wonderful knowledge in this modern and exciting way to make art!
You will be introduced to Cricut Design Space and how to use this application to control the machine. You can also learn how to work with different mediums like card stock, paper, vinyl, and inks. Whether you're a beginner who still hasn't got your machine out from the box, or a more adept crafter looking to expand their knowledge, this online class is perfect.
Let Cat know what you want to learn and she will make this Cricut workshop a super productive thing to do at home. Enjoy on your own or bring along a few friends and learn together!
Knowledge required
Some very basic computer skills may be needed to use the Cricut Designs Space.
What you'll get in your craft kit
Your lesson and craft kit contents will differ depending on what machine and area of Cricut you would like to focus on. You may receive:- Card stocks
- Iron on vinyls (HTV)
- Self-adhesive vinyls
- Infusible ink
What you'll need
- A device to control the Cricut from (an iPad or Laptop works)
- You will need to download Cricut Designs Space, a free application that you can find on the Cricut website.
- Please bring your Cricut machine. This is not necessary however and you can still join in if you do not have one.
Your teacher
After Art College, a BSc & a Biology PGCE, I taught in the London Natural History Museum, and then the Jurassic Coast.
I discovered face painting whilst in Zoo Education and started my part-time business in face & body art in 2001. I won many titles including UK Professional Face Painter of the Year, 5th in the World Face Awards, so went fulltime as an artist in 2006. Most recently I placed 14th in the World Body Paint Championships 2021 (highest UK entry).
I teach, demo and judge face, body and eco-cosmetic glitter art in colleges and at events worldwide and was one of the few artists painting 100 faces daily for years. I'm often booked at large corporate events such as Prides and major festivals, as well as for parties and clubs.
I also create props, accessories, stencils and artwork, as well as urban art on large 3D statues for city trails.
As a UK Cricut Ambassador I teach, demo and use those amazing machines in my personal and business life too. I'm Hobbycraft's 1st face Paint Artisan, and a Cricut Artisan with them as well.
