We begin with a slow, sensory chai-making ritual. Whole spices are warmed, stirred, and steeped. Hands wrap around mugs as steam rises. This simple act becomes a threshold, a quiet boundary between the world you’ve left behind and the softness you’ve entered.

The Pause · Journaling & Presence

Settled on scattered cushions, you’re offered gentle prompts and blank pages. You may write, doodle, daydream, or simply sit. There is no sharing unless you wish. This is time to listen inwardly and meet yourself without expectation.

The Silly & the Sublime · Creating Your Dreamscape

With old magazines you've brought with you, textures, and images, you’re invited to play. We gently “blueprint” your own cosy corner, a dreamscape of softness, warmth, and rest. It’s light, imaginative, and grounding, reminding you that comfort is something you’re allowed to create.

The Craft · Sticky Chai Creation

You create your own bespoke sticky chai blend using our enchanted spice bar. Grinding, blending, and filling your tin becomes a meditative act. You’ll name your creation, a reminder of this feeling to take home with you. We name ours Snooze, Snug and Homely.

The Linger · Chai & Connection

Conversation, if it happens, is soft and unhurried. Warm your hands around your decorated sticky chai, and ease your way back into the world, carrying this slowness with you.

What is Sticky Chai?

Unlike dry tea blends, our Sticky Chai is a living, botanical experience. We hand-fold organic, caffeine-free rooibos or low-caffeine, sustainability-sourced black tea with sun-warmed spices into a thick, organic coconut nectar. You'll taste no coconut but rather a sensual coconut flavour. This "wet" blend keeps the spices potent and fresh, creating a dark, glistening texture that is entirely plant-based and sustainably sourced. It is a golden alchemy of spice and earth.

Why is it called a Sanctuary?

Because we believe a cup of our sticky chai should be a boundary between you and the busy world. The Sanctuary is a space of presence, designed around the ethics of sustainability and the beauty of the pause. By using mostly organic, vegetarian-friendly ingredients, we ensure that your moment of peace is in harmony with the world around you.

Is the Sanctuary accessible?

The Sanctuary is currently hosted within a beautiful Grade II listed building. Due to its protected heritage structure, there is unfortunately no wheelchair access at this specific location. We believe the magic of the Enchanted Chai Sanctuary should be open to everyone. We are actively seeking alternative, fully accessible venues for our future gatherings so that every guest can join us at the table. What is your cancellation policy?

Unfortunately we cannot offer refunds or date changes on purchased tickets unless these are made within 24 hours of you making a purchase. When you are booking your ticket, please make sure you can attend on the date selected. Occasionally, we can swap your ticket to a later date but this is only if we are able to re-sell your ticket to someone on a waiting list.

Hello, I'm Ingrid.

I'm utterly thrilled that you've passed by. I create and sell my sticky chai in these pretty cool tins. However, I never set out to create a product, I wanted to create a pause.

A small, everyday ritual that could gently interrupt the rush of modern life and invite people back into presence.

Sticky Chai, sweetened with organic coconut nectar, became that ritual for me during a challenging time. Its natural sweetness meant I could return to it throughout the day — a warm, steady companion rather than a stimulant. When I felt healed, I knew I wanted to share that pause with others.

Rooted in my work as a qualified herbalist, each blend is designed to be caffeine-free or low caffeine, warming, and gently supportive of the nervous system. But the real medicine is the moment itself — hands wrapped around a mug, breath slowing, time stretching.
