Macrame Wall Hanging Workshop
Chelsie is such a wonderful teacher. Very personable and kind and knows her stuff. The chat was always flowing but never felt intrusive or too much.
I booked a private workshop for myself and my mum as a Christmas present to make Macrame wall hanging hearts. Neither of us had ever done Macrame before and Chelsie explained what we had to do very simply and patiently answered all of our questions andChelsie is such a wonderful teacher. Very personable and kind and knows her stuff. The chat was always flowing but never felt intrusive or too much.
I booked a private workshop for myself and my mum as a Christmas present to make Macrame wall hanging hearts. Neither of us had ever done Macrame before and Chelsie explained what we had to do very simply and patiently answered all of our questions and helped us throughout when we had any crisis of confidence in following the pattern.
All the materials were provided and were of an excellent quality and easy to work with which meant that by the end of the workshop we both had a beautiful macrame piece we could proudly hang in any room of our house. Chelsie had also laid on loads of snacks that we could help ourselves to which was very thoughtful of her.
I loved the chilled out feeling of the workshop and the positive encouragement that Chelsie gives which felt so genuine. I also love the fact we were able to walk away with a finished piece at the end of the session.
My only complaint , and it is but small, was that it was an extremely cold day the day of the workshop, and due to the location of the Dawn Studio in relation to the doors of the Lowry Mall, it was a little chilly in the studio. However, Chelsie endeavoured to keep us warm with an electric fan heater nearby and as many hot brews as we wanted. I think I was only bothered by the coolness of the studio within the last 15-20 minutes when I decided I didn’t want to have any more hot drinks for worry of getting home on public transport without needing to stop for a loo trip. I had travelled there in a massive padded coat too so didn’t want to put that on whilst I was trying to craft. I think in future I’d just take an extra cardigan or jumper if I knew I was going to be crafting on a cold day.
An excellent experience that I would highly recommend and I will definitely be returning to try out some other workshops. + more

Eco Plant Pot Making Workshop
Received this experience as a gift and wasn’t sure what to expect but it was great! Something really different, and very good value. We were provided with lots of drinks and snacks while we had a very clear demonstration of what we were making, and were able to take home two pots and a plant each. Highly recommended.

Bud Vase Hand Building Pottery Workshop
This was my second time at the New Dawn Pottery studio, which has moved to a bigger studio since the last time. The studio is in a cool location and has a beautiful view of the canal! You can't help but feel creative there and Filipa has done a great job with it. This class was taught by Nina, who was also an amazing teacher. Korean Cooking Class and Meal
What a lovely way to spend an afternoon in a pleasant location with a chef and assistant who were both personable & fun to be around.
Everything was set up brilliantly so as after a presentation of tasks by Chef we could all attempt to recreate his dishes with generally great success!
All the delicious dishes were washed down whilst sharing a mellow Zinfandel - perfect!

Beginners Wheel Throwing Taster Class
Went for a last minute taster class as a gift to my friend. It was fantastic!
It was a small group that allowed our teacher, Chris, to be able to give enough individual attention to each of us.
Chris's guidance was great! He did make it look easy :) but his demo was so clear, and he supported us throughout our session.
We all came out with at least one piece of work after having 3 or 4 goes through the day.

Life Drawing Workshop
The instructor was great and gave lots of great drawing prompts. The model chose a wide variety of poses which kept it interesting. There was lots of options for materials and it was all very well stocked and there was a lovely cheese selection at half time. I got it for my friend as a birthday present and she loved it

The teachers were friendly and engaging, providing useful guidance while letting you run free creatively. They provide everything you would need and the pottery is great to have after. Absolutely amazing time. Attended as part of a bachelorette celebration, bride got and gift and we got some bubbly! Variety of chocolate was amazing, gluten free and as the teacher told us we can re create at home with substitutions! We all loves the class, was fun, helpful and informative and never a dull.moment!
