  • 5/5 from Michelle T Marazzi, attended Jun 2026: My daughter was very happy with the crochet workshop she attended with Bonny. She was on a beginners course which was tailored to her perfectly. Thank you
  • 5/5 from Rachel Larkins, attended Apr 2026: Crochet, teacher was great, good atmosphere, I liked the one to one aspect. Good course
  • 5/5 from Suzzanne Taylor, attended Dec 2025: Excellent class with Bonnie. As a complete novice to anything with wool / thread Bonnie was patient and helpful. I felt I’d not achieve much at the beginning of the session but came away wanting to do more and have continued to crochet onto the evening. The venue was ok although the area was just an area of the shop on the top floor which had previously been full of craft materials. It was disconcerting to have members of the public looking in at us and quite distracting. Could do with a completely separate area with a door to prevent prying eyes. Rather embarrassing although I’m sure it wasn’t a fault of the session tutor. I like Bonnie’s relaxed attitude. I’d recommend this crochet workshop to friends but I would also advise them that it’s not in a private area. Materials great.
  • 5/5 from Molly Wells, attended Nov 2025: Our teacher Liz was very good at demonstrating and explaining the basic crochet chains and stitches. Very easy to follow along, and Liz is very patient! There was 5 of us in the class, and I was able to make a long chain of stitches, 2 small rectangles of double crochet and a large square of triple crochet. Highly recommend the class for absolute beginners, would love to see other classes offered such as granny squares.
  • 5/5 from Lynn Young, attended Nov 2025: Liz, was very informative & went through everything slowly & patiently. Liz went over things when asked to do so & made us feel very comfortable. Definitely worth going as I have now learnt the basics of crocheting & not to rush, be patient & get the feeling of the crochet hook & the tension of the wool first. Would like to do the granny square lesson next time, if there is one in the new year.
  • 4/5 from Jeanette Joubert, attended Nov 2025: This was a beginners class in crochet, and three of the five of us were absolutely beginners. The teacher thus had to do quite a lot of one on one between us. She was very patient repeating and showing us the steps. The 90 minutes passed too quickly and I managed to learn to exchange my knitting skills for crochet handling. I learnt making the slip knot to then start the chain stitch and do double crochet. Treble crochet was also introduced. This needs practice at home and then I would need the follow up class to progress further.
  • 5/5 from Jacqueline Smallwood, attended Oct 2025: The atmosphere was calm and with 5 ladies of different abilities, she helped each one of us at different stages. Will definitely book the next one soon.
  • 5/5 from Judy Coops, attended Oct 2025: The class was very useful, Liz, the Tutor was clear in her demonstration and explained everything very well. She gave everyone individual attention and feedback.
  • 5/5 from Wendy Blake, attended Aug 2025: Took my granddaughter so we could learn something new together. Our teacher Liz was very good and explained everything slowly and very clearly. We both now have a new skill which I have been practising every day.
  • 5/5 from Petra Bastow, attended Aug 2025: I can now commence my crochet journey after some very helpful advice. I Would thoroughly recommend this workshop to anyone wishing to begin learning crochet.
  • 5/5 from Lucy Wallis, attended Jul 2025: Lovely workshop. Looking forward to the next one I have got booked Liz was helpful and patient
  • 5/5 from Lorraine Allan, attended Apr 2025: At the age of 68 it is the first time I have crocheted. Bonnie was an excellent teacher and I can't wait to do a more advanced course soon.
  • 5/5 from Susan Wilson, attended Mar 2025: We had Bonnie at Westwood and, on our request, she showed us an alternative to the normal one. She was incredible patient and supportive and this was our 3rd class with her. Thanks Bonnie, really appreciated the extra length you went to.
  • 5/5 from Sally Clark, attended Mar 2025: The teacher was so helpful, encouraging and knowledgeable. She showed us how to hold the yarn and the hook correctly first, then with small steps we learnt different stitches, but only when we were comfortable. She even worked with us individually when we found certain things tricky. The teacher even printed extra sheets to help us. The cost of our session even provided us with 2 balls of yarn and a hook.
  • 5/5 from Stinder Fowler, attended Feb 2025: Great lesson with Bonny today. She was very good and clear at explaining the stitches, and was very patient with us. Thoroughly enjoyed it…
  • 5/5 from Tina, attended Feb 2025: Bonnie is the perfect teacher. She is knowledgeable and very patient. She demonstrated every step as many times as needed. As a beginner, I was worried I would be lost and would hold the rest of the class back. Bonnie put me as ease from the start and was very encouraging. I feel I have a very good grasp of a few basic stitches, and I feel confident that, if I practice, I will improve quickly. I highly recommend this beginner crochet class.

  • 5/5 from Julie Gifford, attended Aug 2024: I was so pleased to hear about this class. I haven’t done crochet for so many years so this class was perfect to refresh my memory. The teacher was brilliant, very helpful & attentive. As it turned out I hadn’t done the stitches she showed us so it was even better to learn something new. We all got a crochet hook & wool which we were able to take home. We were shown how to do different stitches & make a square, which we could enhance & make bigger. I would definitely recommend doing this course. I even thought of doing it again myself x

  • 3/5 from Susan Wilson, attended Jun 2024: I think for a beginner class it needs to be just 2 people. Unfortunately an hour was not really long enough to get round and see how everyone was getting on.
