What you'll do
Get ready to get festive and creative! Our holiday-themed art sessions are a fun way to kick off the season. Join us for Saturday sip & paint nights for adults or family-friendly Sunday mornings (under 18s are half price)!In just two hours, you can dive into all the festive fun: paint canvases, decorate tote bags, or craft cute gift cards. You can choose one or do them all! We’ve got everything you need, plus snacks and a complimentary drink - fizz and cocktails on Saturdays, hot cocoa and cookies on Sundays.Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just starting out, this is your chance to relax, have fun, and get inspired. You’ll finish the session with a festive keepsake (perfect for the gift giving season) making it a fantastic way to celebrate and create special memories.

I most appreciated the relaxed atmosphere and access to materials. Anna was really helpful at offering advice and guidance but at no time did I feel pressured to stick rigidly to a process. I have been to several of Sally’s classes, and every time I arrive, I feel myself take a deep breath and unwind. It is a couple of hours of pure, magical escapism, with plenty of giggles along the way. Creating in such a kind and welcoming environment is always a treat, and the opportunities to be creative are endless. This time I painted a canvas and a Christmas tote bag, both perfect for gifts. I really recommend the adult classes at Studio 48 if you need some time out from the day-to-day and a gentle space to explore your creativity.
Your teacher
Sally-Ann Johns graduated from Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen in 1999 with a BA (Hons) in Design and Craft. She then went on to receive her Master's in Product and Furniture from Edinburgh College of Art in 2007. Sally-Ann now uses her fabrication skills to create beautiful and unique pieces of art using bendy ply and gold leaf. She has been working in the arts for over 20 years, exhibiting internationally and teaching a wide range of courses.Anna Dittmann is an illustrator from San Francisco who loves to bring portraits and nature to life through her art. A graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2015, she specializes in creating book covers that blend realism, fantasy, sci-fi, and young adult fiction, drawing inspiration from the beauty of the natural world. Since early 2023, Anna has enjoyed teaching at Studio 48, where she shares her passion for art with both adults and kids!
