Make your own headband to wear this winter and learn some new craft skills at this London knitting class.
This is a beginners' class and offers lots of support to help you learn to knit in a fun and relaxing workshop environment.
Knitting a winter headband is an ideal beginners' knitting project. Your expert teacher will walk you through the process of learning to knit and you'll get plenty of tuition and guidance to help you create your headband.
Knitting in winter is a super cosy activity and the knitted headband you'll make at this class makes for a lovely winter accessory, or give it as a gift for a friend! These headbands are perfect for those days where it's not quite cold enough for a super chunky hat, but you can still feel a chill in the air (plus you can keep your hair in a ponytail all day long!).
After a couple of hours of knitting and nattering, you'll feel like a pro! You’ll learn all the basics including knit stitch, how to cast on and cast off, and then we will show you how to sew together your headband so it has that perfect twist right at the front. It's a brilliant activity if you're looking for fun things to do in London and want to learn to knit with plenty of support from an experienced teacher.
You'll finish your London knitting class with your own handmade headband and a take away knit kit containing bamboo knitting needles (super lightweight so great for beginners!), yarn, and a useful how-to guide to keep you on track.

I’m Jane and I am 100% passionate about crafting – you name it, I have most probably tried it. I set up Tea and Crafting, a bricks and mortar workshop venue in Covent Garden, in 2009, as I wanted to share my love of all things crafty and show people how, that a lot of these crafts are easier to learn than you think, without the need to commit to a six-week course that can be difficult to fit into a busy lifestyle. I wanted to provide affordable classes that were effortless and fun to attend.
I believe that anyone and everyone can craft and that you don't need to be exceptional at a craft for it to have enormous positive effects on well being. Alongside a team of expert crafters I am proud to still be passing on these crafty skills 12 years later!
