What you'll do

Learn the art of eco-friendly candle making in this vegan candle making workshop.

You'll make four candles using a planet-friendly blend of soy wax, hemp wax and paraben-free fragrances. With expert guidance from your experienced teacher, you'll learn all the basics of candle making and have a great time in the process.

The candles you'll make in this craft class make a lovely gift set - perfect as a treat for yourself, or to gift to a special person in your life. This relaxing candle making workshop is an ideal way to spend time doing something creative with loved ones - take some time out for yourself to wind down and make something beautiful!

Affectionately referred to by your talented teacher as tins of joy and me time, your candles will be designed by you and you'll choose from a selection of seasonal fragrances to ensure you make something you'll love. Fragrance options range from the ever-popular aroma, black pomegranate to a delicious apple crumble and custard scent!

Each candle you make has approximately 15 hours of burn-time - a lovely amount of time to fully enjoy the fragrance you choose. If you've never tried candle making before, don't worry, this class is designed with beginners in mind and you'll be supported every step of the way by your talented teacher.

By the end of your craft class, you'll have learnt how to make candles and how to blend fragrances too and what to look out when you're buying candles, having soaked up some lovely eco-friendly fragrances in the process. You'll have gained lots of skills and knowledge in vegan candle making - really useful for future projects and developing your abilities in candle making independently.

You'll also have a beautiful candle set to take home with you. All you have to do is decide whether to keep your gorgeous candles or give them away as a special present!

I’m Jane and I am 100% passionate about crafting – you name it, I have most probably tried it. I set up Tea and Crafting, a bricks and mortar workshop venue in Covent Garden, in 2009, as I wanted to share my love of all things crafty and show people how, that a lot of these crafts are easier to learn than you think, without the need to commit to a six-week course that can be difficult to fit into a busy lifestyle. I wanted to provide affordable classes that were effortless and fun to attend.

I believe that anyone and everyone can craft and that you don't need to be exceptional at a craft for it to have enormous positive effects on well being. Alongside a team of expert crafters I am proud to still be passing on these crafty skills 12 years later!

Candle making was so much fun, instructions were given clearly and simply, by our sweet teacher. We understand the does and not to do when trying to make candles and used our noses to choose the fragrances to put in our 7 little candles! I'm happy with all 7 of them! :)
