Underway Studio is a Brixton based illustration and printmaking collective specialising in screen print. Much of their work is influenced by architecture, form, texture and colour. Using physical print processes means their visual language is both playful and distinctive, incorporating photography, collage, drawing and embracing any happy accidents along the way!

Great workshop not too expensive and very practical. Great piece of good quality art work to take home and very Hands on process. Snacks and drinks provided and a friendly welcoming environment. Also really interesting to learn about a new practise and create your own art. Perfect for beginners as well super easy and fun.

We had a fantastic evening, Melissa explained the history and methodology of screen printing, before taking us through the process, step by step, making sure we produced artworks to be proud of.

I tried screen-printing for the first time and it was a great workshop. Caitlin and Melissa explained the process very clearly and took the time to assist and answer questions. Overall it was a fun workshop and I am very happy with the two prints I created! I liked that it was a small group (6 people + 2 teachers).

The workshop was fantastic and we all left with amazing pieces of original artwork. Caitlin, our tutor, was really superb. She took the time to clearly explain the process and structure of the workshop, providing inspirational material for us to use, and made helpful suggestions as we developed our designs. The ambition of the workshop matched the time we had and we all completed two prints on good quality paper. Catlin was generous with her time and knowledge and we would wholeheartedly recommend the workshop to people with and without prior experience; we were a mixed group of novices and more experienced printers. It was a brilliant experience, well planned, well organised, well resourced and great fun, thank you very much.
