- Learn how to set a fireable stone in clay ready to add to your pieces
- Using the silver clay paste, you will also learn how to make a solid silver leaf from a real leaf which can be picked from around the studio
- Whilst your pieces are drying, you will also design the shape of your filigree piece, and make the template in preparation for day two
- Polish and shine the pieces that were fired overnight, and also complete the filigree piece using the template from day one.
- Learn finishing techniques for your pieces and add colour and antiquing to your homemade jewellery.

You need to make sure the leaves have lots of veins and detail on the back, if the leaf is smooth, it won’t make a good piece. If you are unsure, you can always bring a few along and your teacher will tell you which will work well.
