What you'll do

You know the expression 'Dance like nobody is watching', right? Have you ever laughed like nobody is watching? At this unique experience, you and your fellow virtual guests will harness the joy of laughter and enjoy all of its benefits.

These include:

as an ice breaker before a meeting or a conference
a fun activity with your (extended) family, friends or colleagues
to increase productivity while avoiding the typical afternoon slump
it is bonding – a great team building exercise
it can immediately lift your mood
it could be a great fundraiser for your charity
it is an internal work-out, i.e. you will burn calories

No matter your reasons for laughing, your friendly teacher will guide you through your very unique Laughter Yoga experience.

In Laughter Yoga we really laugh for no reason whatsoever – no jokes, no comedy – just for the pure joy of it. And you don't even need a sense of humour — trust me, I'm German!

Children laugh up to 300 to 400 times a day – adults, on the other hand, about 17 times.

Let's be childlike, playful, joyful and discover how you can lift your mood, get a good workout at the same time and experience even more health and well-being benefits.

Knowledge required

No skills required, but you can practise a wee smile in front of the mirror (it's a start) - or wholehearted belly laughs if you are more advanced.

What to bring

An open mind, a smile on your face, curiosity and a glass of water.

Hello and welcome!

I'm Sylvia and this is my invitation to laugh with me.

When the pandemic hit I asked myself what the world really needs and I decided that good health, a positive attitude, exercise and connection with others were the most important things.

Laughter can provide all that - oh, and it can burn calories, too!

Even if laughter is fake, you'll get its benefits. I'm mentioning it, because your laughter might be slightly fake at the beginning of a Laughter Yoga class, but as laughter is so contagious, it will soon become real; I witness that every time when facilitating a Laughter Yoga session.

So, join me to laugh like nobody is watching and see how it can improve your health and well-being - I'll also give you plenty of tips on how to incorporate more laughter into your daily life!
