I'm an artist and workshop facilitator whose practice centres on analogue photography, experimental photographic processes and artist filmmaking. I hold a BA in Fine Art, a Master's degree in Artist Filmmaking and Moving Image, and a PGCE in Lifelong Learning.
In recent years I've specialised in cyanotype workshops, which have become a natural extension of my own artistic practice. I love introducing people to this historic photographic process because it offers such a tactile and rewarding creative experience.
One aspect that makes my workshops a little different is the atmosphere I aim to create. As cyanotype has such strong connections to nature and botanical study, I weave these themes throughout the experience. I often serve botanical-inspired refreshments, creating a calm, immersive environment that encourages people to slow down, connect with the process and enjoy a creative escape from everyday life.
Alongside my artistic practice, I've been running creative workshops for almost ten years in mainstream education.
Over the years I've taught hundreds of students and workshop participants, helping people of all abilities discover new creative skills.
I'm currently based in a studio in Camberwell, where I continue to develop my work as an artist. My long-term ambition is to establish a permanent workshop space where I can build a regular programme of creative events and contribute to a thriving artistic community.
