Iris Liao-Attwood honed her fine art skills in Taiwan and pursued further academic studies in London, which has been a significant part of her life. Art is a life style, which stimulate one's inner soul, bringing joy and peace to the mind. It's not merely about creating by hand, but also about experiencing it, engaging with nature, enduring hardship, and learning new things in life. Creating art is enjoyable, but it also serves as a form of self-therapy and meditation. I would love to refine my techniques in calligraphy, ink art and share tea culture with you in London.

I bought this as a gift for my husband for Lunar New Year, and this was the earliest class that we could make together! Iris was such a patient, warm and attentive teacher and really good at explaining the history and heritage of this ancient art. We got to practising quite quickly using the paper and brushes provided, and I appreciated that Iris would come around and spend some time with each of us, guiding and supporting our writing. By the end, we both wrote out our couplets to hand on our wall at home. It was such a lovely way to spend a calming two hours on a rainy Sunday, and not only do we have a lovely memento of our class, but also a new hobby to explore together as we both celebrate and learn more about my culture.
