Join our lovely goldwork embroidery artist Beth for a 3.5 hour workshop and make your own stunning hand-embroidered goldwork heart brooch (or card), combining sparkling goldwork threads with fun, decorative beading.
Create a luxurious hand-stitched gift in this 3.5 hour goldwork embroidery workshop. In this class, you’ll learn traditional goldwork techniques such as chipping to embroider a beautiful heart brooch using shimmering metallic threads, and bright check. Once complete, your finished piece will be carefully backed with thick felt and pinned onto a card, ready to be gifted (or kept).
This workshop is perfect for creating a meaningful present for Valentine’s Day, Galentine’s celebrations, or Mother’s Day. But we also think that there is no greater gift - than gifting this for yourself. You’ll be guided step by step through the process, making it suitable for beginners as well as those with some embroidery experience. By the end of the session, you’ll leave with a completed goldwork heart brooch, new embroidery skills, and a thoughtfully presented piece that’s ready to give (or treasure).

Hey, I’m Jane, and I’m obsessed with all things crafty! If it involves glue, yarn, paint, or paper—chances are, I’ve tried it. I started Tea and Crafting back in 2009 as a cosy, welcoming workshop space in Covent Garden because I wanted to share my love of crafting with everyone.
I totally get that life is busy, so I made it my mission to offer fun, relaxed, and totally doable craft workshops—no six-week commitment required! Just pop in, get creative, and walk away with something amazing (even if you think you're “not crafty”).
Fast forward 12 years, and I’m still here, sharing the magic of making alongside a fantastic team of expert crafters. Because honestly? Crafting isn’t just about being good at it—it’s about the joy, the creativity, and that unbeatable feel-good factor. So, come craft with us! ️
