What a delight to be celebrating my son's 25th birthday at Tere's houseboat experiencing some tasty dishes that's she's shared. Tere's very generous with her time and effort, can't thank her enough. She's even thrown in a surprise Cava! We've now gone away with recipes we can try at home. Just marvellous!

Tere, our host was warm and welcoming and - aside from myself cracking a few eggs - cooked all of the meals for us, whilst keeping us entertained with stories and descriptions of her cooking techniques. We left with our bellies full and enjoyed the experience of being on the house boat with her cat. Had I read the description better I would have seen that this isn't a cooking course, but a "foodie experience". If I had to find a negative, I would say for the price of £95 per person, we could instead have had a michelin starred lunch tasting menu - and all of the associated pomp and ceremony. However, I'm not sure we would have enjoyed that more. All the best Tere and regards

We had the most wonderful time! Tere is an incredible host, and her houseboat is a beautiful, relaxing place to cook. We learned how to make authentic pan con tomate, tortilla de patatas, and a delicious paella. We can't wait to bring these recipes home and demonstrate our culinary skills with family and friends Meeting her gorgeous Ragdoll cat was a lovely bonus, and eating our homemade food on the water was a perfect memory. Thank you, Tere for such an unforgettable experience! 5 stars all the way ✨️

The food being delicious was just the cherry on top. Will be recommending to all our friends and looking at the other experiences that they offer. If you are in the fence, just give this one a go, you will come away feeling richer for it. Five stars doesn’t do it justice.

Tere and Colin were fantastic hosts and their dutch barge was so cosy and unique. Tere was full of so much knowledge and tips about Spanish cooking and food, it was great to learn more about it and enjoy the live cooking process. She was very happy to accommodate our dietary requirements and made us feel so at home. We had a truly lovely time and the food hit all the foodie nails on the head!!

The food was delicious, and we loved learning how to make some Spanish staples. Tere, her partner Colin, and their adorable cat made us feel so welcome, and the cozy houseboat setting added something really special. Great conversation, great food, and a really memorable experience. We’d absolutely recommend it.

• 5/5 from Richard Overall, attended Mar 2026: I bought this experience for my husband's birthday last year as it sounded more interesting than other days out - I mean who learns Spanish cooking on a boat? I did have some concerns, - my husband is the foodie and I had visions of me being stuck chopping mountains of onions and garlic whilst he and the teachrer bonded over some rare and overpriced ingredient. I also wondered if it would be awkward being in a stranger's home eating dinner. I need not have worried. Tere is so warm and friendly that within minutes we felt like we'd dropped in to see an old friend. We were made to feel really welcome and we had proper conversations, not just one sided monologues, although Tere has lived an interesting life and her stories were very entertaining. The boat is also amazing and adds to the whole experience. Tere cooked all the food talking us through what she was doing and she introduced us to seasonings we'd never heard of before. When the meal was ready it was delicious and better than a lot of meals we've actually eaten in Spain. Tere took photos thorughout the day and as she's an artist, they came out beautfiully. We also got to meet her beautiful fluffy cat which made us feel honoured! When our day was finished, Tere sent us all the photoss, a step by step guide of how to prepare the food ourselves and a list of ingredients, where we could buy them, and how we should use them. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time, Tere is an engaging and knowledgeable teacher and I would recommend this course to anyone with an interest in good food. We will definitely be going back to try some more of Tere's amazing cuisine. I cannot recommend this experience enough - it makes a fabulous gift for someone special or a lovely treat for yourself! Thanks for a great day Tere - hope to see you agian soon!

The food was very tasty and we all agreed we will definitely be making these dishes again. Tere took photos throughout and made a collage to send us along with the recipes which was great. Tere is an exceptional teacher whose warm, chatty personality made the entire session feel incredibly comfortable and cosy. The food was truly phenomenal - words don't do justice to how delicious every bite was. Being on such a charming, well-kept boat put us instantly at ease and added a unique magic to the day. Beyond the cooking, Tere was kind enough to capture photos of us to remember the occasion, and we loved hearing stories about her vibrant life while learning the cuisine. Tere is a wonderful host, we were made to feel so welcome from the moment we arrived! During the cooking, Tere gives you lots of information about the food and where it comes from and why she chooses it and she makes sure that you feel really involved in the process. The food is absolutely delicious, so tasty! And the venue is fab, it was so cosy even with the tail end of a storm blowing around outside. He has travelled extensively in Spain so it was wonderful to see the interaction with Tere and her knowledge of all the produce she uses. She welcomed us into her quirky home like old friends and cooked us a delicious lunch. We ranged in age from 9 to 80 and all had a fantastic time.

Tere was incredibly welcoming and warm from the moment we arrived. She gave us a fascinating glimpse into her life on the houseboat, showing us around and sharing personal stories that made the experience feel intimate and special. Her explanations of the recipes and the ingredients she used were clear and engaging. We also had the pleasure of meeting Tippi, her charming cat, who came by to greet us. Overall, a unique and heartwarming experience I’d highly recommend!

My two daughters and myself could not have had more fun and learnt some extra special cooking tips along the way. The food that Tere cooked for us was packed full of flavour and colour - she also added little treats bought from Spain to ensure absolutely authentic flavours. I could not recommend this cooking experience enough, Tere hosted above and beyond. Thank you Tere!

Tere is the loveliest, and the food is some of the best spanish food Ive tried outside of spain - she brings ingredients back from spain just for you to use! I highly recommend this experience! Tere was so warm, friendly, and kind, making us feel so welcomed and at home, and her food was divine. We learned so much about traditional Spanish ingredients and cooking techniques and had the chance to sample some delicious delicacies (the paella, padron peppers, and grated tomatoes were stunning, as was the cream liquer!). Having arranged our evening as a Valentine's date, I can honestly say that we had a magical time and would recommend the experience in a heartbeat. Beautiful memories made - thank you again, Tere!
