I have never attempted a button hole before this session and I now understand the various steps to making a button hole.
Thanks to Cecilia for showing me and then guiding me through the process. I am now ready to practise it home by myself.
Am extremely useful session! Thanks Cecilia

Chloe was great again. This time I wanted to improve my ability to sew in a straight line.
Unfortunately I had little spare time over the past week so hardly used my home sewing machine.
We used a magnetic guide on the metal sewing plate and that made a great improvement.
I also practised with several decorative stitches and varied predominately the sizes of the stitches which looked really interesting and now understand the default settings. One can also vary the length of the decorative stitch as well.
Overall a great session.
Would like to learn about button holes next time.
Thanks
Ernest

Chloe was excellent. I had some issues with bobbins and Chloe showed me solutions to my problems. Then with Chloe’s help I improved my sewing skills. Overall a very useful session.

Due to roads being closed between my home and Hobbycraft Eastbourne I could not get to my 1-to-1 session on time.

Thanks

Luke, a manager, took the class. I specifically wanted to cover the HC8100. I am a complete beginner to sewing and I wanted a sewing machine that had start/stop, reverse, stitch locking and up/down buttons on the machine. I wanted to be able to sew very slowly at a steady speed and I wanted it to create a stitch lock at the beginning and at the end of a seam.
Luke was very patient and demonstrated the above for me. And than I had a go myself. The only trouble was the stitch locking of
a zig/zag stitch that created a lump of thread at the stitch lock at the end of the seam.
This is to be resolved before purchasing this model.

The teacher was very good and patient as I am a complete beginner who has never handled a sewing machine.
I learned the basics of bobbin winding, threading all the way to the needle eye, and then did some stitching including reverse stitching and adjusting speed.
Overall it was very useful for me.
The 1 to 1 for 1 hour is great value for £15.
It is a shame that I will be buying a combined sewing and embroidery machine, probably the Brother M280D but despite the fact you do Brother machines I have been told that you will not sell that machine. My intention is to produce dresses, shirts and tops for my 3 granddaughters.

The tutor (Becky) was excellent and showed me step by step about using the transfer tape when producing text. I have the Joy model at home.

We used the provided Cricut Joy and all materials were provided. Various tips were suggested and also that I should use StrongGrip Transfer Tape when the text was printed on Glitter Smart Vinyl.

The session was extremely useful and covered everything I needed to know.

The presenter was very helpful and resolved my queries I had prepared prior to the presentation. I would like to arrange another one soon. When I feel fully confident with the product and options, I will then hand it over to my 3 grand children (all girls between ages of 11 to 16). They all enjoy challenges!
