Hello,

I'm a glassblower with a studio in London. I fell in love with hot glass during a taster session on her BA hons course.

After graduating I worked in several glass studios and attended classes at Pilchuck and Haystack in the US. In 2000 I did an MA at the Royal College of Art.

Hot glass is an amazing creative outlet, I love sharing the joy of working with this fantastic material.

Me and my partner had the best time in Sam’s workshop today! From the moment we arrived, she was friendly and welcoming and made us feel at ease, even when it was a complete surprise for my partner!

She took us through all the instructions carefully and thoroughly, and encouraged us all the way through. Thank you for making it such a memorable day for us Sam, can’t wait to pick up our creations!

I booked this course for my partners birthday and am so glad that I did. We had such a good time learning to work with glass and the teacher Samantha was amazing. During the course we both we able to create two different pieces. Samantha was well organized and guided us through the process making so we were able to get hands-on with the tools and glass, but never felt unneasy. It was perfect introduction to glassblowing and now we have our own pieces of glass to remember the experience. Absolutely would recommend.

Couldn’t recommend this class enough! Samantha was an amazing teacher guiding us through our first ever glassblowing class. We learnt so much and were able to make some beautiful pieces during the workshop. We’ll definitely be booking another session with Samantha again!

We had such a great time making a glass paperweight and drinking glass with Samantha. It was so much fun and Samantha was brilliant at explaining how it all worked and giving us the chance to use all the tools, while still ensuring we came away with something beautiful.

She was great, it was a lovely way to spend a Saturday morning!

Just want to say we had a great experience glassblowing for the first time. Sam explained all the techniques very well, was very welcoming and was able to answer all of our questions.

Samantha’s class was exceptional. From the minute we arrived we were in good hands, she talked us through the process showed the materials and tools we would be using and gave demonstrations of how to make the items and then helped us to make them.
She was very patient and you could see just how much love she had for her craft and sharing it with others. This is a brilliant class if you want to have a beginners look at glassblowing. A great present for couples to do together or even as a gift. You come home with 2 glass items that you make yourself(2 per person). It was a beautiful open space and you really do stand in awe in the beauty of this art. Cannot recommend enough we had the best time !

Samantha is the best! she was always with us throughout the process and willing to help with what we wanted to create. She has an amazing and very equipped studio and all the materials are included during the class. The experience is 100% recommended and very worth it.

Sam was a fantastic teacher - informative, patient, and helpful. We learned a lot and felt like we were really making beautiful glass pieces even though it was our first time trying. Her glass studio is lovely and well-equipped, very impressive! The time flew by, we were so immersed in what we were doing and really enjoying the experience. And - we'll have great memories of the day from the pieces that we made. I would sign up for another class with Sam again!

This was an incredible class! What a way to spend an afternoon.
Glassblowing first really entered my consciousness via Netflix's Blown Away (I imagine this is true for at least a couple of people considering this class!). Watching the show, I dreamed of trying it myself but thought it would be far too difficult for me to even attempt.
That was not the case at all. Sam is a kind, warm and empathetic teacher. She explained everything so clearly and made me feel completely safe in her studio. The hours flew by and we got to make two objects each! Totally thrilling and addictive, I cannot recommend this class enough.
