Private Glassblowing Lesson

Private class for one person, you will have the studio to yourself for this intensive session which can be tailored to you, getting at minimum of 2 hours hands-on tutored bench time. I run sessions every weekend and some weekdays.Taught by Samantha Sweet, a glassblower with over 20 years experience, you will design, then make 4 glass pieces which will be yours to keep (N.B. Your glass will have to be annealed overnight and will be available to be collected or posted out to you at a later date.) We cover health and safety then you jump into hands-on making, using traditional tools and your own breath to shape molten glass.During this experience you will both– Make a solid glass piece (eg candle holder)– Make 3 blown glass pieces (eg drinking glass/vase/bowl)– Gather molten glass from a furnace.– Shape hot glass using a variety of tools.– Add glass colours of your choice5 mins walk from East Finchley tube station or free parking is available.
