Pottery Painting Workshop: Paint Your Own Mug

Our popular pottery painting workshops are back with the most requested item: MUGS!

2 hours Class size 1 to 6     label £23

Come join us at Hazlehurst Studios on Saturday 1st June 2024 for a fun-filled session of pottery painting!
In this two-hour session, you will have the opportunity to design and decorate your own personalised ceramic mug.
Our all-ages session is from 3-5pm, and our adults-only session is from 6-8pm.
You will use colourful underglazes and paintbrushes to create something completely unique. All materials are provided, as well as a selection of examples for inspiration.
Mugs have been the most highly requested item for one of our paint-your-own-pottery workshops, and it's easy to see why! Who wouldn't want to drink a lovely brew out of a personalised, one-of-a-kind mug?
This workshop is completely beginner-friendly, and whatever your level of creativity, you will be able to create something distinctive and one-of-a-kind that will be completely food, microwave, and dishwasher safe.
After the session, your mug will be glazed and fired by our resident potter, Courtney, turning it into a glossy and brightening the colours. Your piece will be ready to collect within 7 days from Hazlehurst Studios.
The workshop fee covers all materials and studio fees. This workshop is suitable for all ages.
The perfect way to spend the afternoon to celebrate Father’s Day or the start of Pride month!

Your teacher

Hi, I’m Courtney, a potter and craftsperson based in Runcorn, Cheshire.
I have always been creative and had the “I could make that!” gene that has lead me to try a lot of different things!
I first started pottery in 2019 when I was struggling with my mental health. I have always had perfectionist tendencies so I wanted to try something completely new to me that would encourage me to embrace the messiness and imperfections of the work I would create; pottery was perfect!
I love teaching and sharing my knowledge about pottery painting and pottery with workshop attendees. I always endeavour to create a fun, accessible and welcoming atmosphere for everybody. I want people to feel comfortable as I know it can be nerve wracking trying new things or not knowing how to get started.
