What you'll do
For a pottery class with a difference, this workshop in Cheshire is sure to tick all the boxes. Hosted on a working farm by an experienced potter, you'll learn all the skills you need to make a gorgeous vase that'll look incredible in any home.
Inspired by local nature you'll begin by collecting wildflowers and foliage that are growing around the studio, that you'll then use to create beautiful lasting impressions in clay.
Using your imprinted clay, your experienced pottery tutor will guide you through hand-building pottery techniques to create vases and coasters. You will then add colour to the surface decoration enhancing the botanical theme and producing a range of items that will look stunning in your home.
Whether you're a complete beginner or have some experience, you'll find tailored tuition that'll make crafting your vase relaxing and enjoyable. You'll leave with all the new skills you've learned, eagerly anticipating your finished vase coming back from its firing.
Following the course, your work will be bisque fired and then clear glazed before a final glost firing. It will be ready to collect within 3 weeks.
