What you'll do
Take a few hours to switch off and make something beautiful and sustainable to be proud of.
In this half day basketry workshop, you'll use rush, harvested from English rivers, to make an intricate woven plant pot. Guided by Katie, from Twinefolk basketry, you’ll learn and experiment with traditional techniques such as pairing and waleing as well as how to prepare and work with the plants.
This workshop is ideal for beginners and all materials and tools are provided. Don't worry if you're a total beginner, as you'll have plenty of guidance from Katie, plus bottomless tea and coffee to fuel your creative ambitions!
You'll leave with a beautiful hand woven plant pot that you have created, along with all the basket weaving skills you picked up during the class.
