One-to-one Cricut Workshop

Join us in store and talk to a craft expert for tips and advice on your Cricut machine or project!

1 hour Class size 1 on 1       £28

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space? Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 5/5 from Drew Kidd, attended May 2026: This was a really fantastic class. Really welcoming and friendly class. I was super intimidated by my cricut and had no idea how to start using it but this was a great class. The class was tailored to basics and built from there with a lot of helpful tips and tricks to help starting. I was most interested in learning how to make iron on vinyl projects so this class was built round this. Have left feeling much more confident with how to begin using my Cricut. Looking to learn more by booking onto the design space class next. Had the chance to practice and make a tote bag.

  • 5/5 from Caroline Attwater, attended Oct 2023: Linda was great and knowledgeable everything was there for demonstration came away with a good understanding and confidence to move on
  • 5/5 from B Emmeline Kidd, attended Oct 2023: Linda is a superb teacher who understands my questions and doesn’t overcomplicate her answers. She shows me how to do the things I want to be able to do, and lets me try myself. She answers specific questions and doesn’t bamboozle me (believe me I’m very easily bamboozled). She also showed me how to transfer my free Hobbycraft SVG files into cricut design space.
  • 5/5 from Freda Maxwell, attended Sep 2023: The tutorial was great my hour went by so quick. Liz was amazing so helpful and so easy to get on with and her knowledge on the cricut machine really helped me so much just can’t thank her enough.
  • 3/5 from B Emmeline Kidd, attended Sep 2023: Robyn is extremely knowledgable about cricut but is perhaps more used to tutoring more experienced users. I needed help with with making a layered card, but a lot of the content went over my head although I thought I understood at the time. I am of course a bit of a slow learner in the cricut department and it takes a while for me to process information. Robyn wasn’t given any time to prep for my visit which wasn’t fair on either of us and something that hobbycraft should look at improving.
  • 5/5 from Valerie Williamson, attended Aug 2023: Amazing to learn what the Cricut machine can do. Will definitely invest in one. The tutorial was great very professional tutor well with the visit.
  • 5/5 from Tanya Murray, attended Aug 2023: Liz was amazing, I used own laptop, Liz used iPad, completely different but let me pick which helped me more. I was doing basic learning in Design Space & Joy. I was able to make notes & lucky only interrupted once. Would highly recommend a 1 to 1 as I felt a lot more confident when I left. Liz, I can’t thank you enough.
  • 5/5 from Theresa Sandeman, attended Aug 2023: Linda was great, really helpful and patient even though there was confusion about the time of the booking. Only issue was a slight wait for internet access but once this was up and running the workshop was really useful. Thanks Linda.
  • 5/5 from Kathleen McCluskey, attended Aug 2023: Teacher was really knowledgeable and was able to break everything down to make it easy to understand
  • 5/5 from Ashley Whitehouse, attended Jul 2023: The teacher was very knowledgeable and happily answered all my questions. The only issue was that people (customers) kept interrupting the class to ask my teacher questions. A little bit annoying.
  • 5/5 from B Kidd, attended Mar 2023: Teacher was super helpful, patient and lovely to be around. She answered sll my questions and showed me how to do the things I had been getting on. She also helped me with my purchases at the end (she was not upselling, I arrived with a list). I would highly recommend the 1:1 experience.
  • 5/5 from Kimberley Webster, attended Feb 2023: Linda was excellent talking me through the different modles and their capabilities. Took time to explain through all the queries
  • 5/5 from Lesley Franceschi, attended Feb 2023: Very informative, learned a lot about using design space and how to alter things. Given me a lot more confidence. The lady was fantastic sorry forgot her name but a lovely woman, who explained everything very well to me and took time to understand my needs. Will be back for more 121s and possibly upgrade my joy absolutely great day!
  • 3/5 from Jacqui Treays, attended Feb 2023: The staff member wasn’t hugely familiar with what I wanted to do. They had challenges with the tech. Really didn’t feel it was value for money. I left with some squares on the canvas, she did help me place a fold but she couldn’t help me find a font that would write without all of the letters being separate. I tried to find fonts I had but the signal for my phone was poor. I actually left disappointed. The woman was lovely but I didn’t have an hour of learning or anything like a complete project. All I wanted was to be able to create tent place cards (plain)with a fold and a name on it and to duplicate this so that I could just change the names. Disappointed.
  • 5/5 from Yvonne Lamont, attended Jan 2023: Teacher - Liz very helpful - workshop was for my 12 year old daughter who enjoyed it

  • 5/5 from Laura Oxburgh, attended Jul 2022: My one-to-one workshop with Gav in Dundee was great. I'm relatively new to Cricut and Gav took the time to talk me through one of my projects and show me how to navigate my way through design space with lots of hints and tips to make the process much more user friendly. I've come away from the workshop feeling much more confident and looking forward to putting everything I have learned into practice. The hour flew in so I'll probably book back in to get a little with other projects I have in mind.
  • 5/5 from Nick Knight, attended Jul 2022: Absolutely brilliant great stuff And many thanks what a diference this will make to our hobby, will no doubt take other classes to boost knowledge And 100% on instruction thank you so much … brilliant help A personal thanks to Gavin a thousand questions and excellent thank you so much
  • 5/5 from Fiona Battles, attended Jun 2022: Great tutor, loads of patience and tips. Brought my own vinyl (purchased from HC) and easypress. I designed my project and Gavin helped me put it together.
  • 4/5 from Mary Brown, attended Jun 2022: Tutor very knowledgeable and friendly - listened and addressed key learning requirements. Good value one to one instruction
  • 4/5 from Geraldine Greenwood, attended Jun 2022: My class in the Dundee store good I’m relatively new to Cricut so wasn’t sure of the questions I should have been asking. Instructor was very knowledgeable about the product and it’s capabilities, I would have liked a more hands on approach as we just talked about Cricut for the hour maybe a few demonstrations would have been good the iPad screen was quite small to so it was difficult to see the things he was doing. I should have taken notes which I did do the next day at the classes I booked for the Falkirk store. The class In The Dundee store dispelled my nervousness of using the machine and gave me the encouragement I needed to go home and try for myself.
  • 5/5 from Afsha Zaveri, attended May 2022: Good customer service Gav was fully educated on cricut and lovely to deal with Will definitely return for few more sessions
  • 5/5 from Mrs McGaughay, attended May 2022: Fab one on one. Just what I needed. Staff member very knowledgeable and was able to help with all my enquiries and offer lots of tips.
