One-to-one Cricut Workshop

Join us in store and talk to a craft expert for tips and advice on your Cricut machine or project!

1 hour Class size 1 on 1       £28

Join a Hobbycraft Colleague one-to-one and ask any questions you have about your Cricut machine! Stuck on a project? Need help with Design Space? Trying to get to grips with using a new material? Our craft expert will share tips and techniques tailored to you.

This is suitable for all Cricut users, providing the opportunity to get all the answers you need about your machine. Whether you’re crafting with a Maker, a Joy, Joy Xtra or an Explore machine, you’ll be able to get excellent insight for all kinds of projects. It’s a great way to get a feel for your new machine or learn about features you’re not as confident with yet.
During the booking process, you’ll have the opportunity to let your Hobbycraft Colleague know what you would like to focus on during the session. They’ll be able to prepare for a personalised workshop that answers all of your questions.
You’re sure to walk away a Cricut crafting pro, ready to start making your next big project!

Bring a friend: You can now use the £5 add-on feature at checkout to invite a friend along with you, whether you’re working on a project together or you’d simply prefer having some company during the session. Your friend can enjoy any demonstrations given, and they are free to ask questions, but they will not receive the same practical, direct one-to-one support as is offered to the lead participant.

Please note: If you would like to discuss the Foil Transfer Tool, Knife Blade, “Print Then Cut” feature, “Curved Text” feature or “Offset” we would recommend that you book on to one of our online one-to-one Cricut workshop sessions as we are currently unable to demonstrate these features in-store due to them being for the desktop version of Design Space only.

Please note, our workshop spaces in some stores are located in open areas and we will endeavour to minimise interruption from other crafters.

Keeping everyone safe

At Hobbycraft, we want our workshops to be enjoyable, inclusive, and safe for everyone. Some workshops are suitable for children, and where this is the case, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for supervising their child at all times unless the workshop is clearly stated as suitable for independent attendance. Our colleagues and instructors are there to guide the activity and support a safe environment, and if any concerns about safety or wellbeing arise during a workshop, these should be raised with a member of staff straight away.

  • 5/5 from Alison Stamp, attended Jul 2026: Teacher, Laine, showed us everything we asked for and more. Excellent work. Liked learning about layers and features of Cricut
  • 5/5 from Cecilia Dent, attended Apr 2026: Had a session to see how the machines work, which model would best suit me and what you can do with them. The trainer went through some examples and also shared some best practices with me. Definitely one to do face to face. She did such a good job I walked out with a machine and will give it a go. Start simple and then as experience grows I will most likely book a follow up session to stretch my skills further. Thank you!
  • 5/5 from Ian Franklin, attended Jan 2026: An absolutely wonderful workshop. The instruction was clear and helpful, obviously from a knowledgeable member of staff who was honest when she wasn't sure on an answer, which was only once, and didn't push to upset items, but made sure we got what we needed rather than what we thought we might have wanted.
  • 1/5 from Christopher Phillips, attended Jan 2026: I was very disappointed with the lesson I didn't expect to have the class in the middle of the shop with customers around us I paid £28 for an hour i got 40mins The teacher spent more time trying to show me stuff that really was nothing to do with what I needed I needed help with how to upload designs onto to templates but as she only had a iPad and a phone it couldn't be done so she recommended me joining a class on Facebook I could have done that in the first place not waste £28 to be told that To be honest I came back home after driving 15 miles very disappointed and I still haven't learnt anything Christopher Phillips

  • 5/5 from Katie, attended Mar 2024: Rebecca at the Ashford store was really friendly and helpful and full of ideas and solutions to the projects I have in mind for a cricut machine. She was able to speak from her own experience regarding the different machines and their capabilities. My mum and I came away with a much better idea of which machine we might like and what we’d like to do with it. I also came away with an iron on design for a t-shirt for my son which he was very excited by! Thank you Rebecca! :-)

  • 5/5 from Jill, attended Aug 2023: Thanks for an informative workshop. It was very interesting and we learnt quite a few processes to help using the machine. It went at a good pace to follow and remember and we came away more confident in using the Cricut. The workshop could be enhanced with a few information pages as it was quite a lot of information to take in at the time perhaps either as provided or a link on the website.
  • 5/5 from Debra Hill, attended Jul 2023: Really enjoyed this one to one about the Cricut 3, the tutor was very informative and knew her stuff! She answered all my questions and even had time for a demo at the end for the pen that draws cards. Would throughly recommend. Thank you.

  • 5/5 from Catherine Catlin, attended Jul 2023: I booked workshop to find out if a Cricut machine was going to be useful to me and what equipment I would need to get started. I also needed to know what sort of budget I would need. Was shown how to cut card and what blades to use. Unfortunately my main use would be cutting material and the right blade was available. Zoe and her colleague were very helpful and really 'put themselves out' to help and explain things. A very worthwhile workshop.
  • 3/5 from Gabriela Kusters, attended Jul 2023: The teacher was great, but the preparation was very messy. I got there, and the staff weren't notified that I was coming. The preparation was very last minute and hurried.

  • 5/5 from Sally May, attended Feb 2023: Zoe was welcoming and friendly and had great knowledge on the Cricut machine. She helped me with the project that I am working on and answered lots of problems that I have been struggling with. I found working within the shop no problem at all and it was relaxed and I felt at ease. I’m so pleased to find this one to one service because with my slight mental disability it’s what I need. I have another project coming up so I will be returning to see Zoe.
  • 5/5 from Maria Cates, attended Jan 2023: Nadia was great she really explained everything I needed to know. I learned how to make greetings cards which as Nadia said was probably the hardest thing to start with! Trust me. Ashford site is great they provided space and had the resources I used readily available to buy if I wanted them. We went through lots of things I videoed part of the lesson as there were too many steps to write down. I definitely recommend a session. It was great value for money.
