I was born in the south of England to Punjabi immigrant parents and grew up eating freshly cooked Punjabi food almost every day, sometimes more than once a day! When I was younger, I would come home from school to the smells of a combination of spices bubbling away, and the first thing my mum would say was ‘have a taste and tell me if the seasoning is ok.’

My interest in learning to cook this delicious food came just before I got married. I thought I had better learn to cook traditional Punjabi food in order to feed my new family. Five years later, when my children were young I became more interested in a variety of cuisines from around the world. I experimented with different methods of getting as many food groups into my children as possible. It was then that the idea of sharing my passion and knowledge of Punjabi cuisine was formed and Nin’s Kitchen was born.

I have over 15 years of tutoring experience, delivering courses at Honesty Cookery School and Newbury College as well as in clients homes and my own home.
