Discover the colourful and wonderfully unpredictable world of gel printing in this fun, beginner-friendly printmaking workshop.During this creative two-hour session, you'll experiment with gel plates, paints, inks, pens, textures and resist techniques to create your own collection of colourful mono prints.I'll demonstrate a variety of techniques and show you how different layers, colours, textures and shapes can be combined to create completely unique results.You'll also discover how magazine and photographic imagery can be incorporated into your prints, giving you lots of different ways to experiment and develop your own style.One of the best things about gel printing is that you don't need to be able to draw or paint. Every print is different and part of the fun is lifting the paper from the plate and discovering what you've created.During the workshop you'll have plenty of time to experiment and can create up to 20 individual pieces of artwork on A3 paper.Then comes the really exciting part.You'll choose your favourite print to be transformed into your own personalised mug, creating a completely unique and useful piece featuring artwork made by you.You'll take all of your original prints home, and your finished mug will be ready to collect approximately one week later.No previous printmaking experience is needed – I'll guide you through the techniques step by step.Come on your own, bring a friend or enjoy the workshop as a creative family activity.
