Want to get creative? Come along and unleash your inner artist at this fun mosaic-making class in London!
During this craft workshop, your friendly teacher will guide you through an array of mosaic techniques before you're let loose on an extensive range of materials.
Each of these workshops have specific themes or you can learn the basics
- Fri 30th Oct 6.30 pm - 9 pm: Halloween Mosaic Candy Skull: Create a mosaic inspired by Day of the Dead candy skulls. Learn mosaic techniques in a relaxed, supportive environment.
- Sat 1st Nov 10 am - 12.30 pm: Mosaic Tile. create a mosaic tile to take home. The studio shelves are full of treasure for you to use. One of the best stocked mosaic studios in London. The range is unbelievable. You will be introduced to the fundamentals of mosaic which can allow you to progress onto further projects, e.g a mosaic art piece, plant pot, mirror frame, table top - we have all the bases for you to choose. Enjoy your finished mosaic. You can leave your mosaic ungrouted if you prefer, or take it home ready to grout (the pieces need to fully set within 12 hours). We provide a bag of grout, clear instructions and a glove so you can finish it at home. We wrap it for you to carry home.
- Sat 7th Nov 10 am - 12.30 pm: Picassiette Mosaic. You will use broken ceramics to piece together to create something new and beautiful. In our, you will be given different templates to choose from including a cat, bee, beetle or flower. Our experienced and friendly Art4Space tutor will guide you every step of the way, whether you are a beginner or have mosaic experience, so that everyone will leave with a unique Picassiette mosaic to treasure.
- Sat 13th February 1.30 pm - 4 pm: Picassiette Mosaic. You will use broken ceramics to piece together to create something new and beautiful. In our, you will be given different templates to choose from including a cat, bee, beetle or flower. Our experienced and friendly Art4Space tutor will guide you every step of the way, whether you are a beginner or have mosaic experience, so that everyone will leave with a unique Picassiette mosaic to treasure.

New to mosaic making or even art and craft in general? Don't worry, during this beginner-friendly class, your teacher will be on-hand throughout to help you create a piece of art you can take away and treasure.
Hosted in a large venue with a gated garden, there will be plenty of space for you to spread out and get creative!
At the end of the class, you'll have a gorgeous mosaic to call your own and perhaps a new favourite hobby too!
Join us at our stunning centre, or we can come to your space: community venue, workplace, or home. Priced per person plus travel. We can vary class timings. Day, evening, or weekend bookings. We can host up to 50 people across our centre, with our large studio accommodating up to 30. If we come to you and the venue has capacity, the numbers are unlimited! We have full insurance, risk assessments, safeguarding and all required procedures in place to safely deliver outreach sessions.
Proceeds go towards our community art projects, providing mental well-being and creative health, especially for those facing barriers.

This class is for all levels, it is an adult class for age 16+ (Younger people can join if with an adult. We recommend it is suitable for over 14’s with an adult)

I would recommend having a look online for ideas of what you might want to do before so you can get cracking as the 2.5 hours absolutely flies by! Don’t go overly complicated in your design. They had a lot of choice of colours and the selection of refreshments was also great. Highly recommend.

She explained the process then gave us space to come up with ideas - giving us helpful advice on how to approach mosaic. There were a great amount of resources available: types of tile, backgrounds to mosaic onto, and reference books. Highly recommend this class!

I was on my own, and, as complete beginner in anything creative I was a bit at sea and found the tools hard to master. I failed to be able to do straight cuts so ended up just randomly nibbling and looking for pieces that might fit! Not a great result but it was fun. The gift card from Obby was easy to access and use.

I only wish we had time to have some of the snacks as we were too focused on trying to finish the pieces. Depending on the idea for your mosaic piece you should factor in time for executing it as I think a few of us were focused alot of detail and trying to make our pieced look great but then realised we did not have that long left to finish then it was a scramble to try and complete them but we got there in the end and our teacher was very patient with us. 100% would recommend this class and any others on offer with Art4Space.
